Why not? A wolverine can fend off a pack of wolves and a grizzly too. It's also capable of taking down a moose. Wolverines have tough skin with thick fur, this could be enough to prevent a weak bite from the komodo. Wolverines are fearless, ferocious, and have sharp claws and bone crushing bites. It's also skilled in jiu jitsu. They are known to choke out their attacker.

I would add a lion, elephant, and rhinoceros. Lions are often in packs, so it is very likely they would harass and kill the dragon or force it to run away. The elephants skin is so thick and its body so powerful that the komodo probably has NO chance. The rhino also has very thick skin and is so massive it would crush the komodo.

If this was in water, large sharks win easy considering they have amazing immune systems, to the point where they're resistant to cancer, they also have a resistance to what would be poison (which I assume would apply to venom as well) Bull shark seems like the best match, I'm assuming it has those resistances and they are about the size of large komodos but I don't know what shark would be the best match considering the bull shark would probably kill the komodo rather easily with it's 1300 psi bite (highest bite force for a shark if I'm correct)

I would have put the honey badger in there. Be hard for the dragon to get a solid bite (the badger can almost rotate completely inside it’s hide). Not to mention the resistance to venoms and stings honey badgers have. Haven’t y’all seen that video of the honey badger killing a puff adder, but getting bitten? Badger starts to stiffen and convulse…..goes into a coma for a couple of hours…..wakes up and continues eating the snake. Epic!

The Komodo doesn't have venom. It's saliva has some pretty nasty bacteria that causes infection which causes fatal sepsis. Don't think the honey badger has any resistance to that. Much different than what happened in that video. Also the Komodos mouth is much larger than a puff adder and a badger could fit in it's mouth. How could the badger kill the Komodo? It's bite is a very serious one but it's mouth isn't big enough to be able to get a hold of anything. The Komodo's skin is well protected. I seriously doubt that a honey badger could kill a full grown Komodo. They are an incredible little animal but a Komodo is a bit to much for the badger.

Not sure why you put some extincted animals on your list. There is no way of knowing what they are capable of compared to living ones. Sumatran tiger vs Cougar is a no brainer. The tiger destroys the cougar within seconds. Sumatran tigers have defeated African lions on many occasions. In fact, they are the only tiger subspecies that an African lion can compete on equal grounds with. History has shown us that Bengal and Siberian tigers clearly dominate African lions. Bengal tiger vs gray wolf, hahahhahahahaha seriously? A Bengal tiger vs a pack of wolves isn't fair let alone against a single one. That is ridiculously funny. Blue whale vs a Sperm Whale. Don't think the blue whale would fight but if they did, the Sperm Whale would most likely win because it is the largest predator on the planet. Bull Sperm Whales fight each other a lot so they have fighting experience. Polar bear vs walrus is a fight that happens a lot in nature. Polar bears sometimes are able to kill a walrus and sometimes walruses have killed Polar bears. You put a lot of pack animals on your list which isn't fair to them. In a pack, wolves and hyenas are very dangerous but alone, neither is nearly as dangerous and most likely won't fight at all. A large anaconda would kill a chimpanzee but I don't think the chimp would mess with a large one. They are to intelligent and would understand how dangerous that would be. Funny how you have a gray wolf vs a bengal tiger and a siberian husky. Two totally different kind of opponents. The tiger would totally destroy the wolf without any kind of problem and within seconds and the wolf would defeat the siberian husky with little problem. Pretty strange list you have there. The first two are impossible to say. A few are ridiculously funny and the rest are ok battles.
