Made in Kansas and most of wilde income comes from other companies. They make tons of tools for other companies that simply take a wilde product and put a different brand name on it.

Yep, probably the most famous are the red handled craftsman prybars that are in MANY people's toolboxes!
@chain351910 жыл бұрын
What's even funnier about that is that they contract Grace for their screwdrivers. So those old resin handled Stanley screwdrivers(Red and Yellow ones) are double branded.

Wilde. .. witco. . slip joint 10" water pump pliers are a far superior plier then the channel locks! I'm a Plumber, Pipefitter and the only better pliers then these are Knipex cobra pliers.

Nice video. I have a pair of those myself. It's a good design. Craftsman also has a flush fastener but you can't adjust them.
@RealToolReviews10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeff! Yeah....now that I think about it, I have an older pair of the craftsman ones also.....and you are right, they are non-adjustable (and most likely not made anymore).

They are comfortable to use, and from what else I have read online, everyone seems to like them a lot. :)

I don't know, that flush mount means there's only a fraction of the material holding the two pieces together. The metal is pretty thin there, a lot of structural support was shaved away to recess the bolt. Also, you purposely angled the Wilde pliers off of the test surface so the grips wouldn't cause the same problem as the protruding bolt in the other pliers. The thick grips prevent the tool from laying flat, nullifying the advantage of the flush mount bolt.
@DeneyT166 жыл бұрын
Wrong. At the 3:23 mark you can obviously see, that even with the grips of the Wilde plier lying on the test table, the joint still sits flush because of the recess. He only moved the plier grip off the table to grab the test bolt...something he did in EXACTLY the same way with the non-recessed plier at the 3:40 mark, except the non-recessed plier can't grip the bolt nearly as well because of the bulk from the protruded pivot. As far as the metal being thin at the recessed joint, not true...it's built like a tank. I have both the 6 1/2 in. and 8 in. Wilde flush fasteners and they are as strong at the pivot joint as ANY other slip joint plier I've had or seen. Solid pliers at a great price...

Knipex doesn't make a plier like this.

If Knipex doesn't make it, then it doesn't need to be made.
