My wilderness belt knife system has been a great companion set as bushcraft knives, survival knives, hunting knives, and camping knives. We all love a good bushcraft knife or survival knife so showing off this set might inspire you to build your own.
~Peace~

I bought a Nieto fixed blade years ago at a gun show. Turned out to be one of my absolute favorites. Keeps a shape edge and has a solid build. Very cool set-up you put together.

N690Co is amazingly resistant to rust and extremely durable. There is a reason that Extrema Ratio, Eickhorn, Fox and so many other higher end European makers use it as a standard steel. Lamnia is a good shop indeed!

Nice setup! Been thinking of making a sheath that holds my Lionsteel B41 and my LT Wright Frontier Valley, never thought of putting them together until now. Looks great!!

The necker is great, I picked one up for US$45, nice grind and super quality as a light camp knife. Nice complement to its larger brother. Agree the stainless option up in the NW is a smart move too. Cool set up, nice review

I made a similiar system with my tops knives . And branched out to adding my supertool and a firestorm to my bigger knives saves belt room and ease of use

Never seen someone lash two knives together like that, something to think about. And I'll have to take a look at the Nieto knives, especially since you mentioned that you had a Condor Bushlore, as I never had the chance to use mine after moving to city center. However, now that I've moved to a humid area - I think I might replace all my outdoor carbon blades with stainless.

Love the Terrano but that blade is in trouble -not necessarily your fault but that blade needs re-profiling

Hi! Have you considered Vix instead of Brisa Necker ? E.g. Vix Huntsman or bigger brother Vix Outrider ?

Man that Nieto Terrano looks sweet. How did you roll the edge? I believe it is a high end or premium steel, though not a super steel, it should hold up. Any cons on the Nieto?
@TheDaveDryden
@TheDaveDryden 2 жыл бұрын
Chopping it repetitively into a frozen knot. Probably because it's a flat grind and the conditions I was in. Could be heat treated wrong but further use hasn't suggested so

@@TheDaveDryden sorry to hear about. Finished your video and heard you mention it. I ha problems with that as well, but with other knives (ice frozen wood). Guess i was to blame.

@@TheDaveDryden It its great to see the knife steel has some good toughness because it did not chip. Instead the deformation was ductile. Otherwise the steel is also considerad a very hard one with good strength so it should resist any form well, to a certqim degree. Good it did not chip when surpasing the limit.

Can someone please explain to me what's a point of having a thick knife like nieto terrano which is 4mm wide and flat grind at the same time. Too thick for kitchen and at the same time performs worse than any scandi for wood work.
@TheDaveDryden
@TheDaveDryden Ай бұрын
it slices pretty well and is good enough at carving, feathersticks to do all normal bushcraft tasks, pretty good at processing fish and probably skinning but I don't hunt. It comes down to preference really, but yes you are right a kitchen knife and a dedicated carving knife would preform better.

pour le bushcraft il faut éviter de prendre des couteau avec ce genre de lame qui se retourne a la moindre effort.Il faut prendre des lames scandinave.
