@@theclown2393 if not a raccoon playing in the trash can , then it may could might just maybe possibly be his son playing tricks on him , maybe his son brought a Bigfoot suit and gave his dad a good ole fashion Father’s Day scare chasing him around deep in the woods . And maybe there was also a raccoon nearby … but just not in a trash can. Or perhaps it’s just a crazy creepy clown on the loose looking to bite anyone that goes into the woods. It could be virtually anything but Sasquatch, skippy .

Spent 2 weeks in the BWCA in the summer of '76 on a college-credit "expedition" involving high schoolers from all over the country. A fabulous, unforgettable trip of a lifetime, canoeing and camping and conducting biological studies of the ecosystems we encountered. I still have hundreds of fondly-remembered moments to call upon. I'm from NC and live now in Oregon, but the foil dinner we called them Hobo Pies. We used to take hamburger patties and french fries on top of the hamburger and green beans with some butter wrap in tin foil and put over camp fire. You got the whole meal and would add some can gravy. No fuss meal and you have time to chill out and camo. I'm now in PNW also live salmon, it allot cheaper than east coast. Enjoy your stories. 🔥⛺

Your campfire story gave me the chills! What a scary experience for those 4 guys. And they got a picture of that giant footprint to prove it! I camp in Wisconsin in a camper & sometimes tent, because I enjoy tent camping too. I once heard some really scary sounds when tent camping, at about 2:00 am. Never heard anything like it before or since. It was definitely an animal. There was screaming, then throaty noises, then growling, right outside my tent. I could hear it breathing. This went on for 45 minutes. I just kept very still in my tent. I looked online for answers and the closest possible answer was raccoon fighting. It said they could make over 100 different sounds. Remains a mystery. The salmon hobo dinner looked great. Enjoyed the video.

Raccoons made horrible noises when they're mating. I'm serious. I had pair preparing to mate & mating on a big tree outside my bedroom window - their sounds were what I believe a banshee would sound like!

I love to hear your stories especially at night time before bed and relax. where I live we have pine trees and can hear the owls hoot up in the trees and there's open land and some brush so some deer and coyotes are around. @@basecampchris There's been sightings of things that fit the stereotypical appearance of a werewolf but for obvious reasons aren't sure what they saw, if there wasn't many i'd doubt them but after hours and hours worth of testimonies with slight differences in the appearance & behavior of whatever they saw. I'd even say if in fact these people saw of all things werewolves then what else has the national forestry & U.S. government/military hidden from us, now on the off chance these people are 100% correct on what they encountered we have to realize why there'd be an incentive to hide the existence of reallly more than werewolves. I've even been told the military has engaged in bioengineering weapons using the dna of multiple animals and mixing them with werewolves which makes sense as some witnesses reported the creature they encountered having the features of hyenas, wolves, brown bears and even torso's that resemble a gorillas torso. Some weird stuff for sure but i haven't seen any myself and on the off chance the thousands of stories aren't made up or are nothing than the imaginations of people drugged up or drunk i'd rather not find out. i'll put this way if we assume all accounts are 100% true and accurate than how many more haven't we heard because those encounters turned deadly? I've heard rumors the military for whatever reasons released over 50 subjects into the wilderness in the northeastern united states and it should be noted that sightings during that time which was during thee 1970's increased drastically and have spiked usually during summer and fall seasons globally. point is be careful and stay away from the northwestern portion of yellowstone man i've heard a lot of bad things that have been buried as the public knowing would destroy that parks funding, murders, missing persons, alien sightings (yes seriously), werewolf sightings (aka Dogman) and other paranormal anomalies that i personally haven't experienced but even park rangers have reported these things so i don't know what to believe.

I will only vehicle camp. Due to reports of bear attacks, coyotes, wolves and such. Don't cook. Always take cold cut sandwiches, potato chips and drinks in a cooler. Plus my trusted .38 snub nose gun with hollow point ammo. On my side at all times. Love when it rains when the sound of rain on my vehicle is the best thing ever.😍

Love to sit and listen to stories! My Grandmother was a storyteller and passed it on to me. My son's, nieces and nephews would sit around our camping fire and say "Please tell us a scary story!" They would be all spread out in a circle when I started, by the end of the story there were 5 kids puled onto my triple fold beach chair and my 2 man tent turned into a 6 person tent!!🤣 I so enjoyed those special times with them. That are grown with kids of their own. Still get together at Halloween for hotdogs, marshmallows and scary stories with a new generation! Keep 'em coming!! I so enjoy!!! Thanks for sharing!

Hello from Forest Lake Minnesota. There's a number of Bigfoot stories to come out of the B.W.C.A. and the northern region of the state. I've never seen a Bigfoot but I've heard some things I can't explain including a vocalization in my woods that sounded similar to Ron Moorehead's Sierra Sounds Bigfoot recordings. Whatever it was you wouldn't want to meet it alone, in the dark, and unarmed. It was the nastiest, most vicious, guttural, insane, sounding voice I've ever heard, not to mention the heavy thudding footsteps that went along with the vocals. This happened in the Fall of 13. It went on for a half an hour around 1:00 AM. I've lived here all my life and I'm middle aged.

I guess you get used to it. You learn to trust your instincts and keep your ears open. People nowadays have the music blasting, talking loud, drink and get rowdy. Might as well stay in town if you're gonna act like that. We listened to the wind in the trees, crickets, whip-or-wills singing at night, spoke softly because loud was unnecessary, and didn't let our fires get to big. Sometimes no one said a thing. Trust me, if you do it right, you'll know when something is moving around. I always have a blue heeler with me. I can look at her and tell all kinds of things before she's made a sound. Like if someone has turned down the mile long road at my house, there's only 2 farms down here. I've got her trained to give me silent indications unless it's an emergency. Like the night I took some quilts out to the middle of the pasture on a hill, to watch a meteor shower and fell asleep. No one for miles. She whined and dragged her front claws across my arm. I sat up and we were surrounded by coyotes. I'm a tall woman and just stood up and made myself large and growled loudly like a bear. I had a sidearm but I knew these coyotes were only there because my dog was in season. Plus they were nice and fat after eating all my ducks. Lol. I'm more nervous alone in a house than outside sometimes. No guesswork on finding you then. 😊 just kiddin

I like to do some of the things Chris does to keep things simple. Bring dry stuff in you pack. Preparing food is cumbersome and everything in two parishes can smell your food - unless it's about the food. God knows we love our shrimp and crayfish boils. But then you'd have more people. I took my horse up and did a trail ride with some friends in Tennessee. Around Jackson, at Natchez Trace. Not too mountainous. They had cockpots, cast iron cooking with tripods, etc... bathrooms and rv hookups but it was still scary to me. Guess because I'm not used to steep hills. Just depends where you are and what you're used to. Oklahoma or the Texas panhandle would be perfect if not for the tornadoes. You can see things around you for miles and miles.

@@bayoulafourche Oh I totally agree about noise-makers and partying in the wild. While on a wild adventure people need to keep their head and stay sober much more enjoyable than being inebriated. Besides when youre tipsy ya cant make rational decisions. Your dog must be your best friend and a very trustworthy one.🐾🦆🐶

@@helenclark7876 lol she is. She's my 3rd Jessy. I also have a standard Australian Shepherd- my 4th Ace lol. I leave him at home most times, he's too much of a handful and weighs 80lbs. I took him once but he barked at everything that moved so he stayed in the horse trailer most of the time. Jessy is laying across my feet as I write this. I'm getting older, turned 61 July 12. I don't feel a bit different but I love my furry friends too much I think. I also have a manx cat named bitty lol. I needed a mouser and had never had cats before. She sleeps on top of me at night. If I stay up too late she doesn't like it and let's me know. My kids worry about me being alone too much, but I don't feel alone. I'm probably getting a little crazy lol. At least I don't run barrels anymore. I never understood why people always have to have noise going. But I'm a writer and have a house in the French Quarter when I want noise or feel people'y. My people are from northern Scotland. We are a bit mystical and different.

-> This video popped up, & I had to watch it right away, because I had a scary experience in MN, even though I live in So. Cal. I might've already posted a comment about it, but Not in detail.. I was chosen to go on a Church Summer Camp canoe camping trip from near Orr, MN, on up to Canada to the outpost there, back in '76.. First night on an island.. Something circled my tent, & I was awake, but my buddy wasn't (we were on a "buddy system" for safety).. She was fair & had gotten sunburned & fallen asleep.. The counselor was with the other gals telling stories.. Something Large started making Noise by our tent, breaking branches deliberately, & since my teacher & Army Dad had Already told us children about Bigfoot, I figured that's what it was!! Finally, the group was breaking up, everyone to their individual tents, & I yelled for the counselor to shine his huge light all around. He did, but didn't see anything.. Later, some gals came charging back, from the makeshift privy, to the tents, having been scared by something large shaking a tree!! One gal had been yelling, "Wait for me!!" since she got left behind a bit, that's how scared they were!! The rest of the night went without a hitch, Praise God, but, when we left the next morning, I was heartily glad to push off away from that island!! The next night we stayed on an isthmus, & I didn't have any qualms about it. The rest of the canoe trip was great!! Back at the Dorms, one night, my best friend & I stayed behind while everyone else went to a shindig of some sort, her not feeling well.. As we goofed off making faces in front of a mirror in the Dorm center, we both heard a huge, loud growl!! I quickly told her to take one Dorm wing while I took the other, & make sure all the windows were locked!! Then we waited in the center until everyone came back later.. & That's my MN experience!! First of all, the salmon looked incredible! Secondly, the guys, from what you said about them, don't seem like the kind of guys to make stuff up. That combined with an unhealthy : ) number of videos I have watched on the subject, I feel like I am going to have to start believing in BIGFOOT. I have been to Grand Rapids staying in a cabin with friends and we one day took a boat to an island I think named Bear Island. Not-a-fan! You have never seen anyone run around one tiny island so fast to get back to the boat. At least, my friends were amused. Thanks for the fun stories and even more fun, storytelling.

I love your storytelling!! I come from a family of storytelling! All stories were true for them. I have done a lot of camping, backpacking in the Pacfic Northwest’! I own property right next to Mount Rainer and have spent alot of time in the woods. I also camp over on the Olympic Peninsula, beautiful woods and mountains as well. I have never been afraid or scared in these areas but I know of people who have. I like the way u tell your stories and I love the amazing scenery! Keep up the good work!

I live in the twin cities, and the first time I went camping ever was up in the Boundary Waters 10 years back. Ever since we have been doing it at least once a year, it's beautiful country up there. Story time with Chris always a good time, you had me drawn right in with this story always wonder what's lurking out in the woods when camping, can freak you out when you hear noises and don't what it is but that's part of the excitement of camping and sitting around camps and telling stories, love it

Wow! I'm from MN and always wondered about going up there but felt it could be creepy of what's in the thick of the woods. People have been going up there for so many years too I've always wanted to hear if someone had a frightening experience up there so thank you for sharing! I've waited 40 plus years to hear!

Great, that would explain those noises I heard when I was up there. Bigfoot, I knew it! It's beautiful up in the Boundary Waters, if you like canoeing and camping I recommend it. I like how no one else is at this campground! Great spot! Also, I have had experiences in the woods that I can't explain and some things you can't talk about because people will think you're crazy. I have a feeling that these situations are more common than most realize. It's just that no one wants to talk about it in fear of sounding crazy. Love the stories and soundtrack. Be safe out there.

Great story. Love the Boundary Waters and going again in August. I’ll tell this story to my buddy and his son when we’re at the campfire. Heard another story in the BWCA about a 3-4 foot tall brown hairy “man” watching a guy on the pit toilet. Lots of stuff out there. Look forward to your next story.

I am from Minnesota and I thoroughly enjoyed this. I can't remember if I commented already before but I know I watch this once already. There are a lot of stories like this that happened in Minnesota. There is so much Wilderness and water and Marsh areas, that there is no lack of Things That Go Bump in the night. Your recipe that you cooked in foil, is a delicious and great way to prepare a meal all-in-one meat package. Delicious! We call those hobos.

Well here I am again! This Video popped up again, like other older ones do n I'm rewatching it like I always rewatch your other ones. THEY ARE THAT GOOD !!! I end up binge watching your Videos practically every day. My obsession,lol. You are the best story teller. I have a deep down passion for camping, but being an older lady with no one to go camping with, I never get to go. Your videos satisfy the need to be outside camping quite well. Almost as good as actually being there having all the fun that you get to. So exciting n thrilling to be out near the woods sitting by a nice warm fire n cooking up some great camp style food n enjoying the peace n quiet n the sheer beauty of Nature all around you for miles.
