@Roguebluefair it was fun how you could woe the other protagonist even though they were inside the one you picked first. Tides Of Destiny is my favorite Rune Factory game. It got me into the farming and monster rising part of the series.

It really annoys me when you have a "choice" to pick a character, and the other character just... ceases to exist. Making it clear they're just intended to be a gender swap option. Having them be two separate distinct characters is something I much prefer.

I agree, you can tell when effort is put into a game based on the quality of it. And there are a lot of improvements from Rune factory 5. I see less empty space and the animations look a lot better. And I also really like the watering and growing mechanic, it looks cool but also time efficient compared to the watering can. I hope RF6 will be like this too in quality.

It wouldn't be a rf game without amnesia 😂 I'm excited to see the other potential player be involved in the story. The Earth powers look so cool! I love when there's town customization in games, but I'm also super nervous based on the furniture placement in rf5. I miss the 2D art styles from earlier in the series still, but if they're gonna keep the 3D graphics, then this definitely looks like a step in the right direction :)

I love the concept of being able to create my town. Reminds me of HM: A New Beginning which I liked in that aspect. Definitely solves the incredibly empty open town problem that RF5 had.

I have some faith that the town building will be good since Marvelous is apparently producing this in house, and the Story of Seasons devs had town building feeling good all the way back on the 3DS with A New Beginning. Even if it was a bit clunky because it was on 3DS lol.

My only experience with the Rune Factory series was Tides of Destiny on the PS3, i remember it having a really fun battle system Guardians of Azume seems to be the first game to have a fully fleshed out hack n slash combat since that game, so i'm really interested in checking that one out once it releases

Coral Island is still chugging along, not really finished but their progress has been good and they are producing what they promised us. Very happy, RF has always given us beautiful, creative characters. If it isn't broken, ...don't break it. Please...

I prefer good 2D over bad 3D, but I prefer good 3D over good 2D with very few exceptions. So if they can keep bumping up their graphical quality, and smooth out the framerate (this is a tougher ask), then I'd much prefer them to keep releasing games in this style. That being said, I do wish we'd get the character portraits too. In my ideal world, initiating dialogue would zoom the camera on the character in the 3D space, but the portraits would still appear on the side of the textbox without darkening the whole screen. I just hope they don't fall into the bigger = better mindset. The bigger the town/level/world is, the more it'll be a struggle for them to fill it with the resources they're working with. Zone design suffers for it. Not sure how it balances out on the performance side, big and sparse environments vs small and dense ones, but I'm really sensitive to the framerate issues that seem to be plaguing 3D farming sim games.

I love rune factory. I've been playing them since the first one came out. As much as I liked 5 I couldn't get into it as much as the previous ones. I have high hopes for this one though, it looks like they've put a lot of time, effort and love into it so far

Even if 5 had issues, an I still sort of enjoyed it, I'm so excited for this entry. ❤ Just hope they don't put resource spawns close to the farms again, I absolutely hated that the stumps, rocks, and clutter kept growing around the farms so messy so fast. Wish they could have picked other resource spawn areas away from them because they had _plenty_ of empty space in Rigbarth to make a few large lumber/stone spawn plots around town. That and dumb choice to lock lore/story behind dating characters, hopefully they don't do it again in this one because some of them I was totally uninterested in romantically and missed out on plot points. Romancing was also kind of broken in 5, every love interest was a homewrecker flirting even after protag is married w kids. 😂 But to be fair to the team of 5, they did have a lot of issues in production.

I feel like RF had to crash in RF5, to understand a better path for the saga It would be good if it reinforced its sagas in the same way that Monster Hunter does: Strengthen and improve the fun mechanics, and facilitate the mechanics that are tedious

The 3D definitely looks better than RF5, but tbh that’s a pretty low bar. I know they wouldn’t but I would love for them to go back to the RF4 style. 😭 I’m also sad that I feel like this won’t even have 2D portraits for the characters.

I love your content and I'm so excited for this game! I really love the character designs in this especially the main characters, I fall more in love with the male protagonist design each trailer! I think he looks so cool! And I believe we saw that the protagonists can get married!? Love that they are both in this story! Hina was one of my favorite characters in RF5 I took her everywhere with me and I love she is all grown up! Really digging the English voice acting so far! And looks like we getting it at the same time as Japan I think? Why I personally enjoyed 5 this game just looks so prettier and more polished. I'm loving what story info we have gotten in these trailers. So excited for this game!

Hmm, town building seems to follow a kind of similar ethos that Harvest Moon: A New Beginning used (and the SoS and 3oT did on a smaller scale with farm and limited town customization after it). I certainly didn't hate those mechanics in those games but I never really ended up using them to their full potential. It's got a grid though, which the fact that that wasn't even an option and it was all just free placement is what always killed me in 5 (4, too, but at least there's no finnicky rotation there, just finnicky placement). Either, cautiously optimistic about this feature being neat

I've been real on fence with this game...mostly because I'm a bit burnt out of japanese style locations and I don't really like the FemMC character as much as a guy e__e BUT this trailer put my heart at ease a bit. I REALLY like being able to help build a town and I like how the farm area looks, so that's what's reeling me back in at the moment. Also I've always like the 3D RFs more, just because I can actually tell where I'm at. I watched my ex play RF3 and hated it. I could never tell where he was, because everything blended together on the screen, so I'm in full support of 3D. The bachelors....ehhh, but I know I need to wait for character introductions, so I won't be upset about them yet XD Thanks for the report Wilder~!

Apparently the main character you don't play as can be married by the one you play as. Someone said same sex marriage is back. I'm not going for the collector's edition again but I'm still interested in playing if I see more later.

Can't wait. With Dragon Age 4 being a dud. So happy a female lead character was added. I didn't buy 3 because except for playing Frontier as a guy, if given the option I will choose female. RF3 was great so crossing my fingers the company keeps putting out amazing games and stories. They keep giving us a surprise that is great without losing the gameplay we love.

idk man... rune factory stop being good with Rune Factory 3. I mean, rune factory 4 was okay, but that's the start of destruction. yea some features exist in RF4. but the quality going down especially with the story. so, I have doubt with this new rune factory. will they stay on their own lore? or make it kinda random like in RF4-5
