WILDEST TRAIL RIDE YET! 4X4 TRAILS 102 AND 198 @ EVANS CREEK

We've never been down this trail and we were given two conflicting stories on how difficult the trail was. So we had to go see for ourselves!

In this video, it was the tightest, most off-camber trail we've ever done. It was filled with tight corners and switch backs as we climbed through Evans Creek. We ended up turning onto Trail 198 which is labeled as difficult and we found ourselves past the point of no return!
2 hours later we made it back to the campground without any damage but filled with relief and excitement. Doug was a great spotter and Boo was a fantastic driver.

My wife has family in Seattle area, Auburn, and we ran Evans creek in our JKUR over July 4th. No map. No clue what to expect. We ended up on a trail with an wash out that put us on an extreme side hill and our hard top hit a root and got cracked. A lot like Time code 13:04 but it looks like we were going the opposite way that you guys are running it. IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!! Loved that trail network. I look forward to PNW wheeling again soon.

I'm from Buckley and moved away about 10 years ago. I still get up there to visit family, but I never hit the trails anymore. I kind of forgot about em, honestly. Seeing Evans Creek brings back soooo many memories. Thanks for that. I used to love exploring out there. Do you guys have any videos from the Capitol State Forest? I used to wheel out there A LOT when we lived in Olympia. I'm in Reno, NV now - waayyyy different type of crawling. lol.

Oh it was a tight fit for sure. I used to have a TJ. But I find the JKU a bit better for long distances and steeper rock climbs. So its a trade off.

Hey Bug and Boo. Love the video. Brings back memories. Many years ago I took the very same trail. Back before lift, 33's lockers and wife was out of town. It was raining and muddy. I took the trail the opposite way you did the first time. Met up with someone that wanted to tag along. It only cost me the back side window LOL. It was from a tree root sticking out on one of those cuts. The guy that tagged along cost him a mirror and exhaust system. I also had to get him unstuck a few times. The second time I took the trail was right after the wife got back. I took the trail the same way you took it. Was much easier. No damage on that trip. Keep having fun and videoing the exploits.

What Awesome trails! Super tight but looked like a blast! Joe is a heck of a driver! Now it's time for Bug to get some more seat time in the Gray Goat! Don't worry about scraps and dings, the ole Deathcharger looks like a crushed beer can from me "learning" how to rock crawl ha ha ha Yall did great!!

I’m definitely gathering the courage to tackle bigger and harder obstacles!! Joe’s bad hip makes it difficult for him to navigate trails to film so... We like them. They’re way better than stock and we weren’t willing to pay $400 for TruckLites. They work just fine but don’t melt snow

@@GoatOffroad I went with ipf and wiring upgrade. Loved the silverstars, hated getting pulled over for burned out headlights every 8 months. I'll try a good led bulb next time

Yikes, that got a bit snug. Decent team effort to get out of there unscathed. Now that Hwy 410 is open, I went back to Forest Road 70 and up the Whistler Creek Bridge to one of my favorite turnout spots. I did the old slip n' slide in a few places, but made up and back. I'm hoping to get some (slightly) bigger wheels & tires this weekend off of a Toyota Tundra truck. Anyway, glad you had a good time. i.imgur.com/zaJHE3Z.jpg

I remember sliding around in the PNW mud! I couldn't make it up this one hill, no matter how many times I tried. Then when I got a rear locker, i went right up with ease. lol

@@GoatOffroad XJ's are very capable. Even with 33's. I just got 35's and haven't really wheeled yet, but have already rubbed some. I can't cut any more fender so the only option is to bump stop.

Nice vid. I went to Evans last November 1st time, 3rd time wheelin. I asked some folks for an easy trail. They send me down some switchbacks that were tighter than that. Got a little damage. 99 passport 3" springs, 265/70/16. Was fun bit I'll stick to an easier trail next.
