Appreciated the map start - my geography is not what it should be. Thanks for the update - glad you and William are safe. Wildfires are awful, being near them is worse, and the smoke can travel so far and be brutal. Life on the road sure seems to be about resilience and flexibility. Skills you demonstrate fabulously. Thanks!

Good times in the beautiful CANADIAN NORTH. One thing I would not pack on my next trip north , is 6 extra gallons of gas on my bike. Totally overloaded, but one does not want to be stranded on unfamiliar ground. That road is so awesome and peaceful to ride, not another vehicle for hrs. Have fun stay hydrated

So what do you do with left over food, I hope you carry plastic ziplock bags- the one gallon bags are really useful- and using a sponge with some cleaner you can pretty much turn them inside out and wash them then rinse and hang them to dry or wipe off, then store them and use them again or put over and use them for dry stuff if your worried- flatten salads meats left over food, in ziplock bags are really nice, and if you freeze hamburger that way, you can just pull out a square or a patty- anyway good luck, I use 100% peppermint oil I buy off of eBay and put in cotton-/-sawdust in a old coke can in The engine area, mice hate the smell, I’m happy for ya, a can of bee and wasps spray will deter 4 legged or even 2 legged and it’s smart to have a dog, Happy Trails, stay safe. 🤠♥️✝️🙏🏻🇺🇸🌲🐾

wildfire season freaks me out. During the pandemic (if that wasnt freaky enough on its own) we had a day we woke up in San Francisco and it was dark red out. I dont mean like the sky was red, no it was red everywhere. scary as hell.. like look out the window and it is like a red filter on your view. google it…it was one of the craziest days of my like and seen some crazy shit.

Hi Loui, today is july 13th and I was just talking to these guys that said they had helped you changing a flat tire on your jeep while driving back from the Dempster highway. If you are in Dawson city today or the next days it would be awsome to say hi. Im currently at the Dawson city Goldrush campground. We were talking about how brutal that road can be and they said they helped this girl in a jeep and i said was her name Loui and they said yes. I knew you were around cause i am subscribed to your channel and also Simon’s channel. Hope you made it to Dawson city. Cheers Mike

I have the unofficial land-speed record for changing a flat tire on the Dempster ... the "hum" of a million skeeters waiting for you to get out of your vehicle is something to behold and quite the incentive. Up in Inuvik, when the Navy base was there, they sold a t-shirt in their mess that was a cartoon of a mosquito standing behind a ptarmigan doing the bump and grind with the slogan underneath saying "Up here we grow them so big they can f**k a ptarmigan" ... it was a best-seller.

You should get Forestry Forest to give you a tour of Ontario, its been great weather here with lots of rain and growth, usually gets to hot in the summer but the new el nino pattern has tempered that as well, feels like we won the weather lottery hear in comparison to other places. But its relative, places that havent got rain are now getting it, places that never got dry are drying up and old forests will burn for new ones to finally get a chance to grow. This constant change reminds me that we are in a dynamic universe, where anything is possible, including our ability to adapt. That being said no ones adapting to the sun burning up and expanding into our orbit, we gotta get off the planet eventually.
