Whenever you use avocados in a dish make sure you leave the big pit that big seed leave it in the bottom of the bowl or somewhere in the bowl and that will keep the pH right so the avocado won't rot it'll be good the next day.

He owned "The Hydra Resturant Bar and Grill" but it was sold by his widowed wife 2 years after he passed away. He lived right down the road is Sagle ID. Very beautiful country. I remember how clear the air was compared to the Bay Area, California where I had come from to visit him.

Couple of hiking tips for Utah and Arizona: Pariah Canyon!!! And really most sections of the Arizona Trail (or the whole thing), but if you want to do just a couple of days the section from Kearney to Superior is absolutely stunning 😍 Anyway, enjoy whatever you get up to!

@@ThePumas1975 Capitol Reef National Park if you don't have a dog. Spring Canyon Trail in the park is an awesome hike. Diamond Fork Hot springs. And again, Pariah Canyon. Mindblowing!

Utah has snowy cold winters, the most southern Utah is better than North BUT its still subject to cold winter. People go to Arizona for winter...NOT Utah. It kills me that people just don't know that.....ya gotta get to Arizona to reach a parallel where winters are milder. Dec/Jan/Feb will generally be low 60s during day and low 40 and some 30 at night. Days of late have been in the 70's. You have to go to lower elevation Sonora desert like Parker, Quartzsite, Tucson.

I prefer watching the "real" and genuine vehicle dwelling people, not the staged and performative stuff. One of the main reasons why I watch Foresty Forest (other than all the awesome adventuring) is because he's just a genuine, down to earth person. And I get the impression you are the same. Anyways, safe travels and I hope you and William have a wonderful time over the winter and in the desert. Ps. The two books I saw sound interesting (You are a Global Citizen and Tay John), what are your thoughts on them? Worth it? (If you don't mind giving a quick yes or no. No pressure)

I was curious about your recent border crossing experience. I just crossed back into the U.S. from Canada and thought they’d take all my food. I didn’t get searched when going to Canada, nor when returning to the states. I was surprised. I had a fridge full of frozen fruit/veggies, hummus, jarred foods, etc… I got rid of all my fresh produce, though, just in case they searched me. And I agree on the diesel heater! Gotta have it.

I have a hard time going to a Walmart. I honestly cannot even remember the last I went...pre-pandemic at least. It is the only store that I start to sweat with anxiety when I walk through the doors. Hi Loui.... I love your content. I started watching you after videos with Simon. Fuel canisters can be very expensive but liquid fuel stoves like the MSR's can be much cheaper to operate. If convenience is the goal, then propane would be good. Cheers!

Be aware that IsoButane (e.g. the fuel for regular JetBoil and many small stoves) won''t vaporize (ignite) if it's below about 12°F and will have problems running below about 32°F. If you can keep the fuel canisters warm, you'll probably be fine. The Jetboil Genesis (clamshell stove) DOES run on propane, though, which is good to something like -40°F.

Both the Toroweap trail from Indian Springs down to the North Rim a remote trail and the Hole in the rock road from just East of Escalante is another great area.
