That's because things are abnormally dry. The whole west coast has had massive fires for the better part of 20 years now, and they're only going to get worse, especially as ground water dries up. Texas is the only state where people can pump as much ground water as they want, and aquifers like Ogallala are drying up. Plants rely on the round water to survive, and once they die they essentially become fuel for fires. In other words less water = dead flora = more fire.

With warmer temperatures comes less humidity in alot of places that would've had much more humidity 20 years ago. It's the panhandle not middle Texas. Yes he did say that, and he was absolutely right. And you know what, dummy, Trump was not saying that you bring in a literal rake to do it, like that "combing the desert" scene in "Spaceballs". No, what he meant is doing what was called "forestry" just a few years ago. This involves bringing into the forest some loggers, Department of Forestry personnel, and other timber workers to clear out the smaller trees and underbrush from the forest floor. Doing this PREVENTS forest fires because you are removing the fuel. This was a common forestry practice all over the country until leftist lunatic environmentalists put a stop to it. Trump was right, as usual.

In West Texas, the answer is sometimes "quite a few dangerous chemicals." But sickness from chemical ingestions does not inherently result in paranoid delusions or "conspiracy theories." Those things are a direct result of the influence of Fox news and America's history of politicians failing to be public servants (as opposed to power brokers).
