Darktide you are more of a Hero-unit. while in helldivers, you are just a mere soldiers. although with the access of as much lethal firepower as a dark angel, but then again, that was how the human empire was before the dark times anyway.

I think the audio design could be a little better in places. Like in the first 1-2 minutes when the player drops down in that interior part on a metal platform, it didn't quite sound right. Because Cadia produced more guardsmen than any other place. First, they dont all come from the planet Cadia, they come from all over the Cadian Sector and get exported all over the galaxy. Second, they are so prolific because some planets that pay the tithe dont actually raise their own regiments, most will send their conscipts to the major guard regiment in the sector to be trained and to do indoc. The gear they use (Kantrael Pattern Lasgun and flak armor) are ubiquitous throughout the entire imperium. Regiments are chosen to be reinforced by the high lords with recruits based on their needs.... no sector has more need than the Cadian sector.

I am so hyped for this game! Looks incredible... I hope we get some backstory on what happened to Titus after the first game, his time with the Black Templars (because of his Chain of Zeal), how it came to be that he crossed the Rubicon, etc. I also haven't played PvP in a long time but I am looking forward to it, I really hope it will be excellent and that we can choose cosmetics from all the OG legions. Would love to have a badass Blood Angel on the loyalist side and a Thousand Son on the traitor side even if it's just cosmetics. Psykers would be cool though (not just the Sons, but librarians too) as long as they can keep it balanced.

I love the look for the game, only thing I can have a gripe about is how hollow and light the walking sounds like (which is such a tiny (and subjective) problem). I just feel like they should have a deeper, more base-y sound to them. More like a hard thud (especially on metal). This sounded a little to light for my taste, doesn't really convince me that I play as a giant superhuman soldier able to crush skulls with a single hand and all that. But if that is the biggest problem in the game, the game is going to be awesome. I do feel like the walking and running sfx make such a massive difference in immersion and is one of those small things you can overlook but that is really a game changer if done correctly. But that is just my two cents. (Btw, a `Helldivers 2 set in the Warhammer universe` type game would have me seriously pumped, please make one. Let us play both historical battles, aswell as maybe a campaign set in the current Warhammer-universe time)

This looks fantastic! I have very surface-level knowledge of the depths 40k universe, but I REALLY want to dig in! Can anyone recommend or provide direction of where to start to get a clear picture?

I started with the nightlords trilogy books and went from there. It definitely is confusing at first but it'll grow on yah!

Eh it's pretty easy to follow overall. The titles of characters or ship designs is muddled at first but it wasn't nearly as hard as dune

I just hope the game will get some cool multi mode and not only 10 levels in a solo campaign or we will have make the turn so fast

Better be a survival multiplayer mode, with different enemies and hopefully not just terminids, think they will involve other factions/enemies?
