A lot of oak and birch I think? The trees also carry a lot of lichen and I wonder if the area you are in is quite damp? Mammoth job to clear the perimeter of the land and yet still leave some mature standing trees for wind break and shelter and biodiversity. Great you will have a good supply of firewood and maybe wood clippings? I am enjoying your approach to this project and enjoy seeing it from the beginning. Your work ethic is awesome. A lot of clearance just like the Azores cabin but without the lava rock and tufa? All the best as you proceed - and I hope planning and building legalities go smoothly too!

Yes! Oak and birch! Part of the wood I store to build the cabin, and another to fire wood. This land is quite big, and this is a lot of work, but the stone (granite) is better tu build, and the soil is fertile!
