We've all been there, done that. 🙂

Received my kit today. Thanks Braden (and Tim) for the informative video. I would suggest drilling the rail button holes before installing the motor mount, so there's no possibility of drilling into the motor mount tube.

great job! I see a lot of level 1 attempts, to include mine, fail from less than adequate construction techniques. this will help and I'll send them your way.

Why the quick link on centering ring eye bolt? Just tie shock cord to eye bolt.

Hi Braden, could this potentially fly as a class 1 rocket without FAA clearance? If so, I think this would be a great first Fiberglass kit!
@michaelbozung1794 Жыл бұрын
You could probably fly it on a G80-10 but you need a permit or certification to legally fly any rocket on a high power motor. The FAA considers a high power rocket a class 2 rocket in their eyes. While that class 2 would be a level one or higher rocket by NAR or TRA rules and regulations.

As simple as it gets. I’d imagine it would need some nose weight if you’re gonna fly on anything larger than 3 grain 38mm motors

That's a bath tub?😳
@DH-sw6vg6 ай бұрын
Giving the kit a full bath, then handling the pieces with oily hands seems.... foolish.
@wildmanrocketry14866 ай бұрын
The bath is just to get dust and mold release remnant from manufacturing off of the components. Cleaning the parts with rubbing alcohol after sanding before bonding ensure's they're ready for a proper composite bond.
