Rosie, What a wonderful video. It's a work of art in itself. I adore your lamp! The colours are so subtle and look great with the walls! I enjoy listening to your stories & music as I work alone in my studio. My work is very detailed and labour intensive and I find myself re-doing work that doesn't meet my expectations so it's comforting to hear that someone else struggles to get the outcome they desire! Ivan currently conserving a gilded frame for a painting that was damaged and I must choose a gold colour that works with the existing gold. This is difficult because gold leaf varies so much. Well what an achievement your little bathroom is so inviting and so Green! A perfect example of what a sustainable bathroom can be. Bravo Rosie. Thank you for sharing your journey. Melbourne, Australia.

I subscribe to the idea of doing as much as you can yourself. Maybe not because I think: it's easy, but more that I think "I think I should be able to do this... and... how does that actually work?" I wanted to paint a piece of furniture and thought: What's the best and most natural paint? Down the rabbit hole I went. Linseed oil paint. How do you make that? How do you make lineseed oil fit for paints? How do you press flax? How do you process flax oil to make paint grade oil out of it? What pigments do you use? How do you process those pigments into the paint? Sooo many questions worth answering. I have to know. EVERYTHING!

Good little bathroom! Your shutters was a great idea, but include some type of screen should be placed and fastened outside of the bathroom window to keep out the rodents and flies or a bear trying to break through to get inside. A metal screen is the safest for your bathroom window, or placing regular wire screens for all windows.

Your toilet window is a really interesting design! I have not seen anything like it before! The lampshade on the other hand has a very strong 1960's vibe! Thanks for an inspiring video! My own little house was build in 1907. My late father bought it 50 years ago and renovated it during the 1970's. For some parts he used cheap low-density fiberboard and painted it orange-red (probably because the paint was cheap), so I can relate to some of your choises.
