Rosie - i have to admit something: I am 50 years old, and have been DIYing things since teenage years. When i started following you, I found it so refreshing because even if you did not have all the skills, you had the courage to start building things and renovating. I felt at some times when watching your stuff "oh, she is doing this in an odd way" or "I would have done that differently". Still, your attitude towards the renovating and your courage and the cute things you built gave ME enthusiasm and energy to start doing more things around my house. (so i built some furniture and started carving spoons, cups etc). And then the thing I have to admit: you have become so good in the last two years! What I think right now: "OMG she knows so much more than me". I do not know if you realize yourself how much you have learned. Ok - confession over. I wanted to tell you that you should feel so proud about all that you have achieved.

She's lovely, amazing and makes great content but she clearly HAD more theoretical architectic knowledge than most of the people. She uses professional software, she plans with proper high level technical drawings, she knows which materials she should use. This is not diy, learn and do knowledge - this was or is her occupation. And by the way, the way she works with the wood thats not her first, second or third year doing that. She worked with wood for many many years. source: im woodworker with 5yr+ experience, and i can see when someone is beginner or not.

Do you really believe that comercials on tv are the reality ? She definitaly needed help probably from the person who is filming her : bringing the big pieces of wood from the shop for exemple was not filmed because she couldn’t make it alone.
@Vivchook7 ай бұрын
@@philipper9233 There's no-one filming her. She's doing it all alone. I think you've not watched much of her channel, otherwise you'd know all of this. She uses a drone for overhead shots, a stand or tripod for other filming. She's talked about her meditation, her mental health exercises, but you obviously have no knowledge of these. Perhaps if you did, you'd possibly be a better person. Yes. An "I can do attitude" is the key to everything. They should remove the word can't from the dictionary. 😂 I have an aunt who has an "I can't" mindset. When I watch Rosie, I think of my aunt. If she watched Rosie she would learn alot. We don't come out of our mum's knowing everything. It is learning by doing. If it doesn't work, try something different until it does work. That is the beauty of our super creative minds. We have an endless supply of imagination and creativity. Some people are creative with numbers, othets music, art, etc. If people didn't think of inventions and try making them, then nothing would have been made. What a boring world. And if everyone made everything exactly the same way, that would look boring. 😂 Rosie is an inspiration for many reasons. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

The way you use your jigsaw is terrifyingly effective! In almost any other wood working channel you see those super specialized machines, but you just use that ONE thing and do things with it, that everyone else would say: Ahh! That won't work, it's not precise enough! Then... it works. It is JUST precise enough to work. You wing it and it's so inspiring! So much doing, so much progress, so impressive what you have achieved with what little tools and work environment you have. Incredible. Simply... incredible. My dad renovated our 140 year old house nearly from the ground up. I grew up for years in a place that was in constant change. To me he was superman. He could do it all. He could build it all. He could fix it all. It actually stopped me from doing anything with my hands for decades of my life. He is now gone, much too early at the age of 63 due to cancer. I was lost when it came to all things concerning craft. KZbinrs like you inspired me (then being 38 years old) to start doing things! Now I have my own house, my own son, and I build things. Little things, bigger things (if my wife lets me, she is very picky). Thanks to bold people like you putting their work online, I can now be his hero. I will inspire him to work with his hands though, build things WITH him, so I don't become so mountainous as my dad was to me. Thank you for inspiring us!
