Man, 12 months, that’s flown by, it’s a great canopy, we’ll set up but more, very well built. The whole canopy series has showcased a great Aussie product with your integrity and honesty.

Hi Cam, Really looking forward your vid on solar and charger system in details. There are so many new stuff now in Europe Germany Available especially on high voltage back connect solar panels with sun power cells.. pushing to 23% . Your roof looks huge… good place for 480wp panels.. LiFePo4 batteries oh men, 300Amps passed by 400Amps. Very interested in what you got…. Have a nice weekend Cheers😊

Thanks for the review, another great Cam video. I think your canopy would be great on my 2021 DMax, I like the colour scheme and everything. I can't wait for more details on the new caravan.

Looks good still would love an update on the boat loader
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
The boat loaders been awesome mate, it’s super solid and supports the boat really well. Rated to 150kg, supports 270 degree awnings and weighs 26kg. thunderfab.com.au/products/roof-top-boat-loader

Hi Cam can't wait to c the new van. I'm glad you made the canopy doors white now it don't look like 2 different vehicles. What is your dream tow vehicle in the future after the dmax. One thing is for sure Oz is expensive. Just good luck to U and family.
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
Good question mate, and honestly I don’t know now. Nothing standard would do it for me. The dream would be 200 series or a y62 chopped, stretched, canopy on the back and serious GVM upgrade. Or a 79 series with a chassis extension, canopy, auto trans and a wider diff under the back to sort the track issue. All dreams that will definitely be out of my budget! Not sure what I’ll actually do after the Dmax! I guess I’ll find compromise somewhere like I always do 👍🏼

Cam, how is the induction cooker cooled in the draw? I know our portable unit needs quite a bit of cooling when used on the higher settings.

Nah no idea mate, Thunderfab sorted all that out for me with the canopy!
@andyoutback63362 жыл бұрын
That's awsome mate. Do you have any links for the lock motors ?
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
Nah can’t help you there, sourced by Thunderfab as part of the canopy for me!
@lewismather2599 Жыл бұрын
Is the central locking system a kit anyone can buy to fit to their canopy
@WildTouring Жыл бұрын
Don’t think so, just a part of the canopies ThunderFab sell. Other mobs may sell them aftermarket for retrofitting though.
@4x4touring472 жыл бұрын
Nice run-through Cam 👍 I'd be looking to make that drawer under the cooktop into the trundle style so you have a drawer plus a bench top. Please tell them not to base anything on the titan drawers . . . Worst bit of cheap nasty heavy unusable space you can get. They have their place but surely not in a nice canopy like that
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
Not a bad idea 👍🏼 Haha yeah I hear ya 😂 But like you said, titan drawers have their place in the market. For a couple of hundred bucks they’ll do the job!
@maxhill11462 жыл бұрын
Where did you get the fridge storage from

@pmcanvasproducts on Instagram, can see examples of what they do or order your own custom dimensions there. They’ll post aus wide.

What weights are you mate . Loaded car and van . Car loaded . then van loaded and your gcm ?
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
No idea, vans brand new and empty. I’ll weigh it before a trip once everything’s loaded.

Old mate who wanted Titan drawers in the Thunderfab canopy…🤯
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
😂 haha yeah I was a bit surprised with the choice. Different strokes for different folks I guess! To be fair, titan drawers have their place in the market, can’t argue that they’re not good value for money! There would be tens of thousands of them bouncing around in the back of wagons around Australia doing the job!
@BeeBeorn2 жыл бұрын
I thought.. Induction cookers are all over the place. Both pricewise and quality. But decent ones are so far cheap. But, there can not be many brands that build them for outior 4wd environment. ..Most, even all ,are built for a static life in the house kitchen . ..so they will fail more often then we like ..
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’d agree with that. The safiery ones are marketed for use in caravan/camper trailers/motor homes. So they SHOULD be up to the corrugations. First one wasn’t though, so we’ll see how we go.. I’ll mount the new one on some double sided adhesive rubber or foam to take out some of the shock.
@1989cranston2 жыл бұрын
For the love of god stay away from Safiery, they are one of, it not the biggest rip-off merchants in the caravan/car/solar electrical industry.. I am an electrician and it is genuinely incredible what these clowns charge for their work.. that being said, they do a clean install. But so does any other installer that is worth their salt. Do your research.
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
Fair comment Nick. I don’t have any experience with them, or plan to do anything with them. So can’t really comment. I’ve only got their induction cooker because I couldn’t find any other flush fitting single hob. Otherwise I’ll stick with what worked really well for me- Allspark lithium/solar/inverters and Victron/enerdrive charging gear 👌
