We just got back from. Seychelles after staying in a villa. You got get out meet the locals they are some of the most happy lovely people we met. We went with our two young children to experience the amazing place. All we ask is respect the island and it's people don't litter don't do what we did see people doing standing on coral that suffering so bad already so it can be something for others to see and enjoy for the future. Hire a car it's easy to get round roads are better than most here in the UK and don't be scared to talk and ask locals about areas they give you the best information.

Great video. Wholeheartedly agree with the message about meaningful tourism. Don't assume, though, that people staying in fancy resorts dont travel that way. My new wife and I are visiting on honeymoon and staying in some expensive places but are down to earth travellers who have done all the budget overlanding, hostels, backpacking etc. Seychelles will be my 54th country 😊 sometimes it's nice to have luxury, just don't forget where you came from

I have been there many times on cruise ships. One day I took the local bus out to the four seasons and kempenski. Both resorts allowed me to use their private beaches and pools. On another trip I caught a private tour from mahe Victoria to both preslin and la duque cost was 50 euros. I took local transportation on outer islands. You can also take the bus and hang out on the north shore.

Just got back from Beau vallon in mahe! Done b&b at the berjaya hotel and used to stuff myself on the breakfast to last me until around 7 Then just a 10 minutes walk took me to the local street food outlets. You can easily get a burger and chips etc for around 8 euros or local fish etc that will fill you up until the next day and save you plenty to go island hopping. Also there's a few local supermarkets that are relatively cheap also but a bit more expensive than here in the uk . The local restaurants are just there to screw mr and mrs tourist and honestly the street food is just as good! One last thing.... Just go cos it's an amazing place and iff you like a laugh check out the coco de mer.

How do you travel in extremely sunny places and not get full of sun freckles? Do you put on a ton of SPF50 every three hours or what is the trick? I would be afraid of sun exposure for so long

Haha. Yep. Exactly what you said. 50 fps ar least 3 times a day 😅😅. And even like this we sometimes burn since I (joe) sweat a lot and at times it washes the sunscreen away

I don't think it's a scam. Some people want to go on vacation and simply relax. And not everyone has a scarcity mindset. Traveling on budget is not the same experience as spending your holiday in the luxurious hotel stress free.
