What I found funny was when Wall Hatfield entered the courtroom presiding as judge CottonTop said " Hi uncle Wall !!!!!" And people were laughing

I first saw this while entire miniseries of the Hatfields and McCoy's with my aunt uncle it was all mind blowing interesting and sad at the same time! Never heard about the Hatfield and McCoy Fued War until after high school graduation!

The saddest part is that it all could've been prevented if both hot-tempered Devil Anse and self-righteous Randal McCoy would've just let the past go.

Fun Fact: The actor who portrayed Judge Valentine “Wall” Hatfield is Powers Boothe. He is the voice actor for Gorilla Grodd in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.

He and Bill Paxton were also in the Wyatt Earp movie. The Kurt Russell one of course.

He also played Jim Jones in the miniseries Guyana Tragedy. That earned him an Emmy.

Powers Boothe was a legend. He is probably best known for westerns, but his filmography is a mile long.

The Hatfields lived in West Virginia, and the McCoys lived in Kentucky. They were near each other, on opposite sides of the state line. This miniseries shows a few scenes of characters crossing a bridge over a creek with a state line sign.

They _are_ west of the Appalachian ridge, across the Eastern Continental Divide, in the original western frontier country of the USA. Hillbilly culture comes from that frontier individualism sticking longer in the mountains than in the plains.
