During the course of this show Raylan and Boyd have had no less than 9,999 opportunities to kill each other. It's sorta like watching a sitcom when you're waiting for two people to get together but they never do. After a while that storyline just gets annoying because it devolves into nothing but pure plot contrivance.

I think they liked each other too much for that, despite it all. I was a federal agent most of my life and I knew criminals like that. I liked them even though I knew I shouldn't like them. The constant shootings weren't very accurate, but the relationships between the criminals and the marshals wasn't that far off from real life. Law enforcement is a complicated world. You can almost look at the criminals as your co-workers from a different part of the company. You spend a lot of time with them.
