Love how Josh embarrassed when complimented. But in all honestly your both extremely nice looking and I love how y’all always find time to show affection. Keep on doing what your doing. Because it’s obvious your in love and both extremely hard working. Paint the posts red yo match the roof! Lol If you ever get board… let me know. I’ve got so much to do and all I can think of is y’all could knock much of it down in no time. I’m almost 65 and a recent widow. Also a 24/7 caregiver. I get very little help here and it’s driving me crazy. Love your sweet family!

In these times of chaos and craziness, I love to get off work get a shower and kick back in my recliner to watch these 2. What a great couple they are. Josh is such a cool and talented man. My wife and I do a lot of projects together because it is such a great way to bond. These videos keep us motivated because in 2 years when our son graduates, we too are moving to West Virginia! We are thinking of buying a trailer cheap and do a little work to it. Buy 5 acres and live in the trailer while building our home. We want to build with 3 sides under ground. Only the front and roof will be above ground. 2 years and counting.

18:03 - You want the smooth surface of the bolt on the inside so it doesn't obstruct the flow of the feed, and so the bolt threads doesn't serve as a site for mold/rust/other contaminants. It might not look as good from the outside, but it'll function better.

Great job on the feed shelter and bin. Another job done. Them backwards bolts might cause a flow problem down the road but like Josh always says, no big deal you can always reverse them down the road. Nice looking red roof.

BTW .. Reason for nuts on outside is to prevent 'bridging' of the feed and blocking the flow. Feed depends on the 'angle of repose' to flow and very little can interfere with this causing a problem. Often in automated systems there are vibrators fitted to help flow or a ring of balls suspended on the outside that bang on the surface to prevent bridging.
@graxav2 жыл бұрын
Someone felt it was so important that they copied and pasted my comment .. never seen that before! 👏👏

Installing the round head on the inside will help to eliminate product from getting stuck and building up that may lead to a blockage, depending on the material you fill it with, Maybe

The nylon nuts are on the outside so that if/when you have to replace the feed chute, and the hardware is corroded, you can just cut them off. A lot easier than having to go inside the silo and fight rusty bolts. Love your channel and always look forward to the uploads. Thanks for sharing.

My best guess is that the nuts go on the outside for safety precautions in case they pose a choking hazard if they come off inside the feeder. I'd imagine it'd extremely difficult to find in that thing. Congrats on the finish.

I love your vids. The interaction between you, with your kids and livestock are a great example of how a family should function. I also love that your kids are homeschooled and free range, which means they learn more about life than most folks ever will. Your editing has gotten pro quality and the scenery you add is a perfect counterpoint to the anti people sub/urban life. If there's anything to complain about, it would be the lackadaisical attitude toward PPE. Erin, your hair is great but please tie it up when working around rotating machinery and both of you start wearing your safety glasses. You have too much going for you both to not see the wonderful life you're building and the beautiful children you're raising.

So, I already foresee one of Josh's future projects: Building a shed for the sawmill. What happens when you get a sawmill there becomes an overriding compulsion to build sheds. That is if you still plan on getting a sawmill. Thanks for the video, and the laughs. Be careful of sheds that look like they're made by Ikea (I imagine Ikea is going to be contacting you).
