I always enjoy the kind of person that drives recklessly, gets stuck, then rolls the camera while the passengers do the digging

Life happens 🤷 What you don’t see is that all three of us had to push the boat out together. If we didn’t worry about the camera then you wouldn’t have the opportunity to make stupid comments like this.😂

We’d have loved to stop but Alaska airlines is greedy and wouldn’t let us do a delayed layover, even though we’re flying through Juneau. They wanted us to pay for an extra leg. It’s just too expensive.

Great video guy's and nice boat and plow truck 👍 and when you get a big one just lay down 🤣 that was to funny. I have a question how come the salmon are coming in the river now is to spawn is ocean salmon different because here in Northern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 Trout and Salmon spawn in the fall 🤔
@wildwoodoffgridalaska2 жыл бұрын
Different salmon spawn at different times. General king salmon are first starting in May. Then red salmon in June and silvers in July. Pink salmon and chum salmon are mixed in there also.

Have you ever fished for halibut out of Valdez? I have not but I think we would like to try. Just do not know who to go with. Our ppl out of Seward take us out 3 hours from port but we get large halibut.
@wildwoodoffgridalaska2 жыл бұрын
I’ve fished out of Valdez many yrs ago and back then everyone went out to seal rocks out in the gulf. I didn’t feel it was worth the long trip out and back to catch 2 halibut.

@wildwoodoffgridalaska2 жыл бұрын
For just the two of us it will last all year. We try to eat fish at least twice a week and each fish with give about 4 meals. Hopefully this year we can catch some burbot to supplement our fish stock.
@bradlimer4252 жыл бұрын
@@wildwoodoffgridalaska, wow! Definitely puts the trial and tribulations of the boating trip into perspective. 2 meals a week for a year from an exhausting 2-3 day trip. That is so awesome. That would cost me over $4,000 at the store.

What's the benefit of driving the boat so fast in unknown depth? Stay safe out there.
@wildwoodoffgridalaska Жыл бұрын
Jet boats need to be on a plane to run shallow, which requires speed. Going down river you need to exceed the speed or the water to maintain steering control. Down river is what I consider the most dangerous part of jet boating.
