I'm a data scientist. When we get to the reporting/visualization stage of data processing, one of the most important components to consider is "truthiness." There are many facets of truthiness: clearness, interpretability, efficiency, and accuracy, all of which have their own nuances. The most important component of truthiness, though, is presentation of limitations. You do an excellent job with this in your creations. For example in this video: you posited that wilderness slayer is an excellent meta, you designed and conducted a clear test, you organized your results with sound logic, and then, best of all, you discussed why this may have worked particularly well (e.g., you had the money to buy full ancestral, you need to risk a fair bit, you showed pkers attacking you, etc.). Seriously great presentation of methods. Can't help but admire.

There's definitely some truth to slayer creatures in the wilderness having a higher larran's key drop than non-slayer monsters in the wildy slayer cave. I noticed something similar before slayer creatures came into the cave and with Brimstone key drops.

Man, I wish I had gotten into wildy slayer when Larrans Keys weren’t listed on the grand exchange and were going for as much as 500-600k per key. I mean, 220k per key right now is still pretty nice when you typically get at least one Key every decent task. Really adds to the profitability of wilderness Slayer.

Noob question: whenever you hop from a PKer, are you abandoning your cannon? Do you come back to pick it up?

I get lassar tele tablets and hop one world down. Then use the tele to get another cannon from the dwarf that's just south of the mountain. Only takes about 20 seconds

@@ivyZorz no. If you leave your cannon and hop a world it immediately degrades and you can get a new one for free at the dwarf. The only time you ever have to buy another cannon is if you have it in your inventory when a pker kills you. That's why you should never pick your cannon up if you're being pk'd

on any non ironman, wilderness slayer has been meta from 1-75ish for a long time. easily traversible, for years ive always told people solely to use wilderness slayer till the mid 70s

and this was even back before larran keys, and ud get emblems. wilderness slayer is extremely profittable for even low level players NOT aoeing or using cannons. larran keys are even MORE profit which is great

Mostly used ancestral, occult and nightmare staff for bursting tasks. You don't need ancestral. It isn't necessary. Then for melee tasks it was fighter torso (parchmented), Inferno cape (parchmented), Bandos tassets, avernic defender (parchmented), viggoras chainmace, strength amulet, and dragon boots.

It's definitely not the biggest sample size but it is true that slayer monsters got a higher larrens key chance before the caves became a thing. I talked with a couple friends about this yesterday and figured that the drop chances were actually 1/64 for abby demons and 1/54 for nechs. We used the formula that was stated on the wiki. Slayer monsters having a 25% increased chance of keys in addition to a 15% increase for being in the slay cave. This doesn't include the fact that you'll also be receiving a guaranteed key every 200 kills on average because of superior creatures.

I recently made a 1 def pure and intend to use wilderness slayer to get to 99 slayer now I dont pk. I made this account for the challange of 1 def pvm wise I intend to stay 1 def as well as 1 prayer and 50 atk and the rest being maxed. Now is that a good thing to do for wildy slayer stay at a very low cb lvl to prevent being pked?

At this level of the wilderness I would say so yes. It depends on the combat though. Because I would see a lot of pure pkers around combat lvl 75-80.

Because ice barrages would freeze the abby demons and then you cant stack them. So you need to use either smoke or shadow barrage

Bring a wealth i for tasks, only 150k risk for something that boosts most of the monster hard clue rate to 1/64. Great way to break up tasks to stop scouters as well

The larran's key chance definitely increases with some slayer monsters due to the guaranteed superior drop. Did you kill many superiors?

Without even taking the superiors into account they still have a higher boosted rate. Since they are slayer monsters they get a boost. This is why spiritual creatures in widly GWD had always been the best for larrens keys until the caves and bursting tasks came out.

The risk for me was a bit exaggerated. all you really need is a decent barraging weapon like a harm staff and an occult. So with the slay helm you wouldn't be risking much
