Will 2022 Toyota Tundra Fit In Your Garage? CrewMax 6.5' Bed

In this video I discuss how the length of the new 2022 Toyota Tundra Crewmax with 6.5 Foot Bed might be an issue for some people if they want to park it in their garage.

While it is parked perfectly in the garage, turn on your high beams and then use a marker on the wall to draw a line where the top of the light is on the wall for each side. Everytime you park in the garage, turn your high beams on, as you get closer to the wall, the light beam will move further down the wall. When it meets the marker that is when to stop.

You're very fortunate to have such a deep garage! My 2021 CM will technically fit with 3" to spare... but it's a big deal to squeeze it in. In a hail storm situation, I hope to get it under/in... but it does live outside most of the time.

good video, thanks, I had measured for my limited crewmax 6.5, thought I had enough room, but you have me thinking twice now, haha. Might have to test drive mine when it gets here and see if it fits. My garage is 22 feet long, so that will be interesting.

Nice truck! I have the same color, but in DoubleCab SR5 TRD 4x4 with 6.5' bed. The backseat is way too small so I've ordered CrewMax SR5 TRD 4x4 with 6.5' bed. Should be here in the fall. Curious if you could measure the bed dimensions for me? I'm getting a custom headache rack welded up in a few weeks. It will go on my current truck but I need to know that it will also fit the CrewMax. Love the truck so far! Already done the leveling kit, rear airbags (doesn't come with that in Canada), bigger off-road tires, TRD skidplate, and TRD sidesteps. Too bad I have to redo all those again in a few months...Thanks!

My crewcab Ram with 6’4 bed is pretty much the same.. definitely makes a difference parking and turning radius

Have you owned a Tundra before? I had a 2016 double cab with standard bed and i think this is about 1.5' longer than mine. I was curious when you said you didn't know if you were too far left or right if it's because this is the first Tundra you had or if it's just bigger.

That's what I'm wondering about. How much will that extra foot bother me. I know I can't get it into my garage, that just isn't happening. But turning was nice on my 2008, but parking was always a park out there alone in the parking lot.

I’m building a ranch 3car 23x40 2 doors will be 12x8 for my new tundra and my wife highlander and 8x8 for the middle bay for they toys …that’s y I wanted 12x8 so the truck goes in and out np nothing to worry about and 23ft gives me 1.5-2ft front n back cause I’m getting the pro 5.5ft bed

Sure, so from the top of the cabin to the floor it's 6' and 3.5", if you include the antenna it's 6'6".

I got little confused with decimal in a foot measurement because 1 foot is 12 inches and decimals are more like metric 1 to 10

What's crazy, it's It's bigger, but it's now worst in class head room, worst in class interior dimensions and a narrower bed than the previous Gen...so basically a bigger truck but less usable spacevand less functionality....awesome job on Toyota for going backwards. Add in its now worst in class running radius and the rake of the widow making the visibility worse....plus all the other massive miss fires, you would have to be a complete idiot or completely gullible to buy this truck...it's a joke
