Today, we visit a viewer suggested topic: Can you make a chain with only master links? In this video we use 60 some odd Sram Eagle Power Lock links to create a chain with only master links. Then we install it on a bike to see if it still shifts and operates the same. Enjoy!

Great video! I was wondering if it's possible to install two master links, so i can try it if I ever break my chain while bikepacking... now I have an answer to that thanks to you

My LBS stated power links are on back order. Lol🤣😂😅 And yes I spotted the link @6:17-6:19🥸. Thanks for sharing the most expensive “chain” video in the world I think. Great video as always & Get well!

You know you're bored when you have the time to take apart & then rebuild an entire chain out of master links. haha. Noice!!

This has got to be the most expensive chain I've ever seen! I remember back in the day Regina made a titanium chain. That was previously the most expensive chain I'd heard of at over $100 in the '80s. I'm going to do that other experiment with several different types of mineral oil in my oldest Shimano brakes. I heard of some trials riders using water instead of oil in their Magura hydro cantis.

So hilarious! Thanks Seth. Now I’ll be unable to sleep knowing at least a few of those links are upside down!

When I was younger I used to repair the bikes of all my friends. I didn't have any special tools. One of the most common things I needed to fix was chains. I used a flathead screwdriver, a hammer, and a pair of vice grips to repair chains. I have taken entire chains apart myself, using this method, so have parts to fix other chains.
