Maybe we could meet and greet zoo staff (at a safe distance) as well as videographer and thank them in person. And I would like to donate fresh fruits and vegetables upon a potential visit 👍.

Is genki pregnant? Lord what a blessing, due too her age and the she has a miscarriage in the past she will have too be given specially formulated vitamins and food.her babies are on the small side. She is a high risk pregnancy. Please I emplore her keepers don't let the others hurt her. If she does present a live baby Kyoto zoo breeding program will have contributed and expanded more of the hiromi blood line , pray and be ever vigilant. Keep her safe.

Genki looks like she's feeling so much better after the work they did on her teeth. I am also hoping for another baby, but I hope it's a girl. Genki needs a daughter to help her with keeping those 3 guys in line. It was also nice seeing Kintaro and Momotaro spending some time together. Genki is also staying close to Momo. Come on, Momo, you got this! Time for a new baby!

The last thing Genki needs is another baby now. Let her have a breather. Keeping her constantly pregnant isn't going to do her any good. Has no one noticed how exhausted she becomes with the offspring she already has? She has done her bit for king and country by producing the two she has. There are other females of her kind who are in better health physically and mentally that are capable of producing infants for the gorilla population. Let her rest. Some say she needs a daughter. Really? Genki has a profound dislike of females. Are you sure she wouldn't reject a female child? It wouldn't surprise me. Some say Kintaro would be such a good brother for a baby. I don't think he would be too happy about being knocked off his throne. He is the "apple of his parents' eyes", thoroughly spoiled. Having a younger sibling come along and take that away from him isn't likely to sit well with him.

My grandmother was 4ft 11 in. She weighed well over 200 lbs. She got pregnant with my last uncle and no one could tell . Genki doesn't get a loosely fitted dress. Im very curious that Gentaro has been so abusive and jealous if Kintaro will be empathetic toward the new baby or angry and jealous trying to hurt the new baby.

It would be so wonderful as babies seem to be the only thing that really makes her happy. Well, she does love her food, too. Lol! I've been wondering, though, is she too old to get pregnant again? I'm not sure exactly what that age is for gorillas but she must be getting close, isn't she? I believe she is well in her 30's & their life span is maybe 50? I was just curious if anyone knows? Hopefully if Genki is pregnant Gentaro won't be around by the time shed delivers the baby. Hopefully Kintaro won't be anything like Gentaro as far being jealous and that whole looting thing. I think Kintaro will be even closer to the baby than he is with Gentaro. JMO.

I enjoy watching Gentaro but it is so upsetting that he does not get the attention that he desperately wants and needs. Dad is always attacking even when Kintaro started it. The sadness in his eyes is always there, hope he will be happy in his new home.

I found it so bizarre that Genki does not like Momotaro, but tolerates him when she is in estrus. I suppose if they were in the wild she would have found another silverback she liked better. I wish she could tell us what it is she doesn't like about him.

She chose Momotero from seeing him on film, she was shown all the male gorillas on film in Japan and she, Genki chose him and when he Momotero arrived she taught him how to copulate, so secretly she loves him shes just coy with him.

I don't think it matters to this You Tubers audiance, they just want a chance to come on here and say their piece (usually negative) about what they think should happen to these gorillas despite them not being zoologists or knowing these animals in person. This videographer plays completely into their hands by giving the videos titles that will provoke that audiance.

No they won't, maybe in a year or two. Kintaro won't be weened until he is 4 possibly 5 but that's a easy google search..

I hope not the enclosure is so small and gentaro is changing. They are separating momo because of anger issues. Doesn't seem very safe for another gorilla. Nature will decide i guess...

If Genki has another baby, most likely they'll decide to go ahead and move Gentaro to another zoo (that's what I'm thinking anyway, but I could be wrong of course).

I dont think it's a good idea. Kintaro too young, inclosure not big enough for them now, gentaro had to be raised by staff, kintaro had to have extra food from staff, just too much not good

Like I've posted before, she still has to raise Kintaro, about 3-4 more years...by then she will be near if not 40. If she was stable (mentally), perhaps it would be OK given her age..but she's not, so I worry more about her than the ability to have another offspring. Happy New Year Back, mate!🧡

I agree with you, it is clear that many of you want Genki to have another baby but I don't think she is in good enough shape health wise to care for another baby for many years, because the dad is not going to step up, he barely spends any time with his boys, and at 37 it would probably be to difficult mentally and physically I think it's time to consider other options, such as a younger healthier potential mate for Momo.
