For me this card acted more of proof that Ace is king Arthur. A theory I have had since 2022. Ace goes on about how the oysters where fooled by the walrus based on his looks, which I took it to mean these two things. - If Ace is king Arthur it dose go along with the walrus, since in the Sword in the stone movie Wart/Arthur was never thought to be royalty, until the pulled the sword from the stone. And no one thought a kid would be king. So the Oysters thinking the walrus was something else dose line up with him. -Oysters are known to have pearls in them, which for a lot of people pearls are always around royalty. So a Oyster hiding said pearl could connect to Ace's true origins. I have so much more to tell but I want to end it with two things. Also Ace has been very opened to wanting to hang out with the MC. I think it was his birthday cards in the home menu where he speaks very openly about this.

omg that's so cute🥺I'd also like to add that in book 7 during Lilia's farewell party, Yuu sees a vision about seeing Maleficent in a party and then they feel dizzy, Ace notices this and telling Deuce to greet Lilia so then they can leave the party early since Yuu seems sick. This just proves that Ace actually cares for Yuu

I thought this but he technically still works in the heart suit! It's most likely the reason why Heartslabyul has five members unlike other dorms; I recently learnt that if you have five cards where one is spade, one is club/clover, one is diamond and two are hearts then that's what's considered a full house. Basically it's just another card game reference lol Altho Ace's (most obvious) inspiration from the Disney Villain Recruiters is named Jack Heart - his outfit is also definitely what inspired the uniform for Heartslabyul's dorm outfits

Personally, I think Ace may be the most similar to the carpenter, bcs I noticed that whenever he tries to trick someone, the situation turns againt him. Like f.e. he tried cheating in book 3, got scammed by Azul, tried to do some casual bullying in prolouge, had to risk his life to stay in school. So just like the carpenter, he thinks he's tricking someone, when in the end he always ends up getting the shorter end of the stick. Or maybe I'm just overinterpreting this :pp

Ace talks about the walrus and how deceiving his appearance is before “pitying?” the tricked oysters. I always had a theory that Ace WILL to trick/betray someone (may not necessarily be Yuu but there is a good chance) but ended up being tricked instead. He idolised the walrus’ tactic but ended up being the oysters lol 😂 this also supports why we don’t see the walrus and only the oysters

For me, maybe it's a foreshadowing for Ace's UM. He good at tricking others, right? He also good at mimic others like at chapter 3. He mimic Cater's personality if Cater was there, would capture pictures. I mean, he betray Yuu?? He seems care of his friends especially at chapter 1 (he punch Riddle) and chapter 4 (He use public transportations to go school for Yuu). Maybe he is a key to defeat Malleus? I thinking he could use his UM, maybe Shapeshifter, turn into someone That Malleus love(in family way, maybe Lilia?) to trick him. Well Idk what is right or wrong but this is my theory. Forgive me for bad grammar 😅

This is my opinion too. The card game his name references has some VERY interesting rules, that in turn reference the other freshman. VERY long story short, Trappola is a game where you trick your opponent into discarding high level cards. With the Ace having the most points. The other cards with value (King, Cavalier and Jack) could be argued to represent the other freshmen (Epel, Sebek and… Jack). Which leaves Deuce. In the game Trappola, when a card is discarded alongside a Deuce, there is a boost in points. So nearly all the freshman are represented in this game. It’s food for thought at least

A única forma de libertar é o próprio Ace rasgando a carta ou cancelando a magia. O nome da magia única seria O Coringa, pois em alguns jogos de cartas, o coringa é uma carta que faz o oponente ficar perdido ou atrapalha. Encantamento: “Prepare-se. Com esta carta, o jogo acaba. O Coringa”. O que achou? Espero que tenham gostado. 😊

I remember Ace revealing that his least favorite food is oysters because he felt bad watching the scene as a kid (still trips me up that the movies are canon in twst). I agree that Ace's loyalty to Yuu is something that would stop him from betraying them intentionally, instead I focused more on instances of Ace being tricked, because even though he's a good liar he is still quite gullible some times. Like during chapter one when he believes Trey about the oyster sauce and in Spectral Soiree when he believes Rook's (possibly) false story about being stranded in the woods. I think it would be more of an Azul situation like in Chapter 3, where he does something for his own gain, but gets tricked. I think Ace might do something to help get ahead in something with a seemingly harmless deal but ends up screwing Yuu over, like how they had to put Ramshackle up as collateral. To add to the note of the Walrus not being present in the picture, I don't think the parallels are between the walrus and Ace, but rather Ace, the older oyster, and the younger oysters. The logical part of him has a bad feeling about what he's about to do, but the reckless and more gullible/inexperienced side of him convinces him to do it.

Maybe it relates to the Grim loop theory? Like maybe he's eluding to Grim's appearance being deceiving not necessarily his own? Or maybe where there's a theory every overblot student has some indirect familial tie to their respective 7\phantom maybe he's the one that's actually related to the queen of hearts not Riddle and he's super powerful but faking being a lot less so than he is until the MC is in real danger? idk Cause a lot points to it including that Heartslabyul has the MOST characters of any other dorm where the max is 4 Heartslabyul has 5 and so why are they the only dorm with 5?

I think the “traitor” thing is more Toboso hinting that there’s more to Ace than what we’re being shown because of all the characters, Ace is the one we have the least information on. We know some bits about his family (he has a healthy relationship with them but doesn’t talk about them that much), his love life and that’s about it. Most of his vignettes barely mention his family at all and when we do he quickly changes to a different subject. Not to mention that he barely talks about his home life either, like what his primary and middle school days were like or any extended relatives. Now this is going to probably be seen as a crack theory, but I suspect that Ace is the most powerful mage at NRC if not in the whole world but is posing as a regular person to prevent the disaster with Grim. And he doesn’t have a UM because he doesn’t need one, rather his soul is from a time when UM didn’t exist and anyone could use whatever magic they’re want. But he would have a specialty, and that is manipulating time. So with every Grim disaster, he would banish the current Yuu from TWST and rewind time to the start of the school year to begin with a new Yuu. And only Crowley knows about it.

I live in the US, so the English server/version is readily available on app stores for me. If it's not on your app store, you can still get the game but it takes a little finessing. If you have an Android, you can get Twst EN from the Qoo app, but you have to download the Qoo app first and that's not on app stores so that's a thing, but it's worth it. That's also how you can get Twst JP or other Japanese games. If you have an iPhone, you have to make an American iTunes account (or an account for countries that have Twst EN). That lets you get access to the US App Store. There's a few tutorials around the internet on how to do that but it's pretty straightforward.
