Will Berk Technology High flow Cats add horsepower to your Nissan 350z?

I miss my 350Z. Had full CBE w/HFC’s, CAI, Motordyne ported & polished upper & lower plenums with spacer and copper ISO gasket, and a UTEC stand alone management system. The shop I had it done at only worked on Z’s and G’s, and the work was all done at the same time. IIRC the avg HP at the wheel was 275, but the torque went way up... by like 50. I had also added a lightweight flywheel and stronger clutch. That made a huge difference. Man that car was aggressive.

from what they said, went from 222 to 229. I bet with a proper exhaust and tune you would see way more than that though.

Not yet, right now the only testing we're doing is strictly to see what the mods themselves do.

Takes a lot more performance parts and a tune to see significant gains. A turbo kit or supercharger always helps too💪

The art pipes and the berks hfc aren’t far from each other price wise it sucks that the art pipes or test pipes tho 😢 wack ass county I live in won’t let me take off my cats

Might be a noob question but I recently installed my Ark Grip Catback Exhaust with Motordyne Art Pipes thinking it was gonna be loud lol If I replace my Mortordyne Art Pipes with Berk’s HCF will my car sound will be loud?

The hi-flow cats are more restrictive than art (test) pipes. So you'll have less power. Art pipes are quiet for test pipes though & Motordyne say art pipes are actually quieter than hi flow cats.

How exactly do you see when your cats are bad?

Typically, if the car has ran excessively rich for a while, or had a faulty O2 sensor (often called A/F ratio sensor, the one upwind of the cats) which also causes improper mixture. You should be able to see light through the honeycomb. I had a 93 Honda Del Sol that had O2 sensor issues and sure enough, cat was black inside and no way to see through.

John Yascaribay-Bermeo you don’t have to dyno it, it’s just to see any change in horsepower or torque.

@@xplosivetime8595 wheel horsepower is roughly 30% less than the given 280-300 crank horsepower number, ive never seen a un tuned stock g35 or 350z make more than 240 wheel hp and each dyno is gonna read a few hp different. With a tune the car would probably make 240-250 with the high flow cats if the car has an exhaust too. High flow cats + stock exhaust = less power.

sounds like you like to spend money and not look at other options, motordyne art pipes are for sound, they are test pipes all test pipes more or less give you the same results, these are hi flow cats ofc they arent going to give you the numbers you want, you need to do some more reading before you start shit talking other companies in the comments and if you bring up the motordyne exhaust let me go pay 2gs for that exhaust to make the same power with a cheaper exhaust that still sounds good
