Blues fan, I'm confident, but not sure we're quite nailed on yet. Loads of transfer business to do, squad looks pretty good now but players like Jordan James we're expecting to leave, which could have a big impact. If we hold onto most of our players though and sign the sort of players we've been linked with, the likes of Mike Eerdhuijzen who's a 23 year old 6'4" CB from Sparta Rotterdam for £2m which reportedly just fell through after he did his medical, we should be up there. Under competent managers last year we looked like a mid table/upper mid table championship side. If you take out the time being managed by Rooney and Venus (so time managed by Eustace, Mowbray and Rowett) we'd have been comfortably mid table. And we never felt like a settled side, so I'm hoping Chris Davies is the man and we have him the full year at least. Comes across really well. I'm looking forward to what hopefully will be a fun season. Good signing for you boys to get Marc Roberts back too, he'll be good in a side that suits him, I just think he needed the move away from us.

We went down because of Rooney and Venus basically Callum. Our PPG under our 'proper' managers would have had us pushing for the top 6 which shows that this team were in theory, far too good to go down. The players we let go will not be missed (not being bitter but they were on very high wages and didn't give us very much). We are looking to sell Bacuna apparently who will be a bit of a miss but we have just signed Emil Hanson for £1.5million. I think it's a very exciting summer for us and I hope that we bounce straight back up; it will be tough though.

Bigger clubs than Birmingham have struggled to get out of League 1. Birmingham's self assured arrogance will be their undoing. Just ask fans of Portsmouth, Derby, Leeds, Charlton, Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich, Sunderland or Bolton. All ex Premier league clubs who struggled to get out of League 1.

I don't believe we will piss it but our squad was good to start with, the business the new gaffer has done is emense. It’s looking good for Birmingham but they have to be careful not to fall into the trap of thinking that having good players who play good football is all you need. There’s 20 teams in that division whose entire game plan week in week out will be to prevent anything resembling football taking place. Alfie May scores a lot of goals for bottom half teams, but how will he get on in a side where the opposition are parking the bus every week?
