I think the entire game industry of China is currently watching Black Myth and Game Science Studio closely to see if this would be the one to hold the door to the Western market so-to-speak. Western game studios are just copying what's proven to work before without adding anything new to it and thus fallen into the trap of playing it safe; making their games nowadays either stale or uninspired (why tf would I pay for the newest CoD/BF/etc when it takes up more storage, cost $80+, run like doo-doo, and play the exact same as the last 2 games?). I do really hope the game turns out to be good, and not just another "the day before" scam; Western game studios need a well-deserved kick in the rib to be their wake-up call.
