With Melo on your team, you're guaranteed the playoffs more often than not. Ticket is overrating Melo, but the rest of the league knew what he was bringing as one of the best scorers ever it's just that he was selfish and sometimes the only scorer. NY is when he tried to leave the selfishness behind but Amare was never healthy and the media started a divide between him and Lin during Linsanity prompting him to try to look more like a leader and lead the way he knows how. Through his scoring, unfortunately, the competition knew what he was about and prepared for that.

First 10 years of Carmelo’s career he averaged 26-6-3 with 1 steal a game while being a average to slightly below average defender. They act like he was a hole. Actually he was a above average post defender and not a good Perimeter defender. This stupidity from guys that know basketball this much is hilarious. When your the #1 option on a team with no other offensive players. Your gonna spend a lot more effort on 1 side. Carmelo’s entire career was spent with almost no 2nd Option he got Chauncey and they made the conference finals and lost to Kobe in a 6 game war. He had what 1 year with AI. Other than that Carmelo’s entire career his next best offensive player was JR smith who gave him 12 a game outside of 1 great regular season of 18ppg that ended with JR averaging like 9 in the play offs.
