90? You think he could have scored 28 points in 7 minutes? Haha get real. Scoring at that rate equates to 46 points in 1 quarter. Also, Carmelo was tired and the bobcats were starting to double team him more. So no bro, an exhausted Carmelo wasn't going to put up more than like 13 more points in the last 7 minutes.
@CrankmasterD2 жыл бұрын
@@jhaz89 Brooker had 45 points with 7 minutes left in his 70 point game though
@jhaz892 жыл бұрын
@@CrankmasterD I'm just saying, more realistically. I could have made a lot of money on bitcoin if I had bought it at $25. Could haves don't really mean much if they aren't that realistic. It's best to lean to the side of cautious optimism. Like how the average amount of points scored by a team in 12 minutes is about 26 points. So on average, in 7 minutes that would be 15 points. So I'd say Carmelo scoring 18 points is very much pushing being realistic. Suggesting that he could have scored 28 more points in 7 minutes is a bit ridiculous though. If a team were to score 28 points per 7 minutes, they'd score 192 points in a game. When's the last time that happened?

This whole game was honestly one of the most underrated I've ever watched. I used to hate I'm not going to lie on this performance because the Knicks didn't make playoffs this year and the next year they won like 15 games but Melo straight up dropped 60 in one of the most efficient ways possible. It's honestly the Klay 60 pointer of mid range if that makes sense. Not only did Melo go crazy though, AL JEFFERSON dropped 40 almost exclusively off the post game. I recently rewatched this and I appreciate both of their games so much more now. Regardless of whether he wins a ring or the ego moves he's made in his career, Carmelo Anthony is a hall of famer.

56 points with 1:35 left in the 3rd quarter. That's insane!! I wonder how much he could've finished with if he played the rest of the game.

classic jab step then pull up, post moves, catch and shoot and wd a smooth jumper. OG killa ✊🏾🔥🔥 still one of my fave SF in the game

Yes we know his career in the nba didn’t go well and smooth but he is still one of the most elite scorers to ever step on the court

Committing into existence. Carmelo Anthony to the Lakers. Plays again with teammates that know him well and wins a 2020 chip with the Los Angeles Lakers. #lakernation

Efficient FG percentage. 62 points 10/10 FT’s unlike Harden who scores 60 with 30 FT’s lol

I remember being a little kid and watching this. Funny enough, I wasn’t into basketball back then, this was when I used to play baseball. This game I watched the entirety of, my dad had MSG channel 71 on downstairs at the house, and he kept going crazy, so I watched with and was captivated. And the funny thing was my expectation for a good basketball player was so high because this was really the first time I actually watched, so I always asked my dad, “did he score 60 points again?” And was disappointed every time he said no. Just a little fond memory I had
