I have one I love it... But 2 complaints It really should be brushless It "times out" if you keep safty dpressed too long without cutting...

My son got me a much smaller’Mistral’ brand set of these for Christmas last year and they are a game changer for me as I have arthritis in my hands. We only have a green waste bin collection every fortnight here so I cut things small so I can get more in the bin! Love the whole concept of them, regardless of brand.

I brought this and the chainsaw pruner from Dewalt and it definitely cuts down the time it takes to cut down overgrown bushes and vines. 100 percent worth the investment

I went through 3 of these specific Dewalt pruners. For hard commercial usage. Pruning White pine. Limbs no thicker than my thumb. Each one lasted about one week of heavy pruning. The most recent one only lasted about 5 or 6 days. I'm currently looking to have the parts replaced. Also the 2nd one was replaced under warranty. But the season passed and it didn't last long. The 3rd one I bought on my own, also the one that lasted a few days only.

This tool does remarkably well. I've had a chance to use one recently. Saved time and pain, especially pruning some new sumac coming up. Made quick work of them.

Hey, Brad! Thanks for posting this. I'm not quite ready to hang up my hand pruners or loppers yet, but, it's nice to know there are products like these battery pruners out there. I know they've been out for a while as a battery powered product but, many folks don't know. These product review videos that you post are awesome. So, for those out there who watch but don't comment; THANK YOU! Have a great week, Brother.

I bought one of these when Home Depot first got it in stock. I've done a lot with my hands and arms over the years for fun and work and they get worn out and sore sooner than they used to. While I could use the hand shears, or a short 2 hand lopper, I enjoy a powered one hand shears. Although I saw previous reviews I was still impressed by what this could cut. Until now there were only a lot of unknown brand name shears. When I heard DeWalt was bringing this tool out, I waited, and I am glad I did.

I agree, I have seen tons of no name Chinese brands on amazon over the past year, this is the first big name that picked it up (that I know of)
@rongollonik77542 жыл бұрын
@@CopperCreekCuts I forgot to mention this in the first message. You said to put the branch against the fixed blade as opposed to the moving blade. I push the pruner up to the branch so that both blades make contact with the branch. I believe this provides for a more powerful cut, needed on the thicker branches, because the branch is closer to the pivot point. Although it is not as critical on smaller branches there is no reason to not do it then as well.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate you pointing out that the price point is not for you to judge. So many channels are like 'this $500 cheese grater is a great deal, everyone should be buying this', ignoring the fact that the one time per year that I grate cheese does not in any way justify spending more than maybe $10. Thanks for not assuming we're all rich as hell, I guess 😁

Out here, fig trees grow just as crazy fast. Our neighbor put a fence up right along the tree, so now it wants to grow towards the house even more. Plus the privot bush along the garage that gets a god awful cut back with my saw-zall every couple of years. I've got DeWalt 20v, Porter Cable 20v, and Milwaukee 12v batteries. Which is ridiculous considering they're mostly made by all the same company.

Crepe Myrtles, cut one branch or sucker and five grow back in its place. Last year I discovered “sucker punch” and I was impressed! It is a fairly thick liquid that you brush on the cut and somehow it tells the tree to stop growing in that spot, but it doesn’t hurt the rest of the tree. I have only 2 Crepe Myrtles but they need very little pruning this year and I’m happy about that since I don’t have electric pruners, but I do have tendinitis. 😁

I’m heavily invested in DeWalt. So it would be an easy buy for me but for someone who might have a collection by Black & Decker. Don’t buy this one. Even though I think this one is built better than theirs. In my opinion. Having tools to work off one battery system just makes life easier.

@smey022 жыл бұрын
Dont know why you say its useless...if you use it in dark shadow, behind a shed or something, or in a hedge. Or inside a treetop at summer, with all the leafes it can also be a bit dark. But in general, like you say, better have it that not have it. Doesnt hurt
@cup_and_cone2 жыл бұрын
@@smey02 Where did I say it was completely useless? Do I think it helps? Not really. Like I mentioned, a lot depends on someone's physicality. You are looking at everyone through your particular lens, which apparently has no health issues (good for you!). If someone's forearm strength is limited or they have no grip strength, this or a similar tool may be the only way they can get the work done they need.

Horrible design. Weird position and angle of blade to hand, motor and handle protection perfectly prevent proper an comfortable usage, blades are far from trigger. This is suitable only for cleaning unwanted trees with horrible cuts far from limb/stump. Absolutely inappropriate for precision pruning fruit trees or vine. I had brushless electric pruner from ebay for 130€ with conventional shape like a professional pruners, with charger and 2 batteries for 3rd season and works perfectly, can cut 3cm branch.
