This was one of the key tracks off Will's 2nd album (1989's 'Come Together As One') that signaled his eventual transition over to fully-formed "grown folks" music on his 1991 breakthrough effort 'A Dream Fulfilled'. Homeboy put in fine work in this promo vid even though I still prefer the original 8-minute album version to this day. Many on here keep comparing him to the late great Luther Vandross, but I personally don't hear the resemblance whatsoever. Will's ultra-rich baritone voice and deeply intimate approach to a song reminds me of the late "unsung" R&B/Soul/Jazz balladeer Jon Lucien, truth be told.
