I am so tired of people seeing romance as THE most important thing in the world. It's really not. What's more important above everything is self love. Kinda taking what Kristen has said in a previous interview by saying that before you can work up the courage to love others, you need to learn to love yourself otherwise you have this unhealthy need to depend on others to feel loved. That's what I always loved about Elsa is that her love is not only for her sister but more importantly, she's learned to love herself. In other words, she don't need a man...or woman.

It happens to men as well. If you haven't dated someone in a long time or ever your assumed to be secretly gay just hiding it because you don't want to get judged. This happens because your assumed to be hiding your sexual preference so its not being picky but instead being uninterested in the opposite gender. Unless your overweight significantly or unattractive both men and women get asked this if they haven't dated within reasonable a amount of time. So if your in school you get a pass until you graduate then its assumed you will find someone. Because the assumption is that by now for a woman you would have men fall on the sword to win you over and you would find a worthy man. And for men eventually someone will say yes to dating you because men are known to ask every attractive woman they are attracted to on a date , so if you haven't by now your probably in the closet because their is plenty of fish in the sea.

Disney has a code they go by called "character integrity". Which means that you talk about a fictional character as if they're real people, with real sexualities, and can make real decisions. Of course it's the writers decision to make Elsa what ever they want, but she's simply speaking in terms of "character integrity". If that makes sense.

First, Riverdale made Jughead overly romantic even when he was confirmed asexual in the comics. Merida and Moana are constantly shipped with people even though both (especially Merida - she's left alone a bit more, thank god) seem uninterested in romance. There are hardly any single characters who stay single. NOW, Elsa, (who is clearly uninterested in romance and who is amazing representation for women who don't want a relationship/are happy with the love they have with family and friends) is being asked about her being lesbian. Look - I'm all for a lesbian princess. We need one, and soon. But Elsa is NOT that princess. So many women feel constantly invalidated by their lack of desire for romance. Why can't Elsa serve as representation for those women? Why can't a new disney princess be confirmed lesbian from the beginning, rather than forcing that onto a princess who never showed any interest to begin with? I know our society is obsessed with romance, but this character was never meant to fall in love. She already has love. Stop making everything about romance.

Being single doesn't equate asexuality. Elsa's entire character fits with the label. Riverdale was a different universe from the comics. Kind of like the Avengers movies was in a different universe from the comics. They call the comics Earth-616. They also made Cheryl gay in Riverdale when she wasn’t in the comics. Obviously, Riverdale is an alternate universe show that is loosely based off the comics. Honeymaren and Elsa would be a great match character wise, because I have the feeling they are equally on the same level, Elsa with power but Honeymaren with the knowledge and strengh to be one with nature -which Elsa now has to learn. But it isn't necessary, we can enjoy or produce fanart if we like to see Elsa ending up with someone or not, but it's pretty annoying from BOTH sides, the one side that pushes Elsa with someone (OMG Jack Frost is suuuuch a huge thing) but now after Frozen 2 sadly the other part also rises who start attacking people (especially LGBT supporters) who would like to see Elsa with a girl. What will forcing the directors to add LGBT representatives gonna do with progressing the story? Nothing. Does it give the LGBT community attention? Yes, but not in a good way. Sexuality and sex are different things. Exposing kids to gay relationships isn't any different than exposing kids to straight relationships. Being gay isn't inappropriate for children. Children can be gay! It would have really helped me as a child to accept myself if I had seen gay characters and it was more normalized.

Everyone has the right to choose their life style. In my case I believe in the traditional family, mom, dad and kids and that doesn't make me a homophobic. I personally wouldn't like for Disney to put any gay content in children's movies. They are kids and they do not need to be in involved in this type of political issues. Let them be kids and leave it to the parents what values they want to teach their kids. Elsa does not need to be in a relationship to define who she is. The movie is about the love to the family.
