Okay so I know you were using/ready to use your whip at 1:38 but it’s just looks so damn cool, like you’re just chilling, doing cross country, one handed, like a boss 😎 On a more serious note, those showjumping exercises were technical af and as you said, a clinic would be a waste of time if you went and learned absolutely nothing! You’ve surrounded yourself with great coaches and you’re learning all the time. Clinics like this are going to make your successes all the more rewarding ☺️

It is actually usually quite helpful when your horse kinda "acts up" when you're at a clinic because you get to learn what the trainer thinks you should do when they act up. (Not just what they think you should do when they don't act up). Also if you make rider mistakes then you can gain lots of tips/tricks. Sometimes at a clinic you can be almost a bit too good and end up not learning a lot (and just get praised).

I love that you show the real side of riding. Not every ride is brilliant and Instagram worthy, but some people never show the bad parts. Thank you for showing us the good and slightly trickier parts of a clinic! Also your position and general riding is beautiful to watch, it's nice to see a rider with such a strong seat and leg who is in harmony with her horse ❤

I feel so sick to my stomach that us equestrians on our videos we have to apologize for having "bad" moments..or like you call them REAL moments! Why do we need to apologize? It's not like a NBA player has to apologize for a bad day, they just bench them and say " we let a new player have their shot today" and no one is like "oh he plays bad".. you know what I mean. We shouldn't have to apologize for in between all we learn, all the fun we have and all the great rides, we shouldn't have to apologize for those we really learn from.. those who makes us equestrians.. the "bad" rides. I think this video was very good, and yes I saw she was a little spicy here and there, but you handeled it well

Don't sweat it Jill! Like you said clinics are for LEARNING, it's good you made mistakes, it's how you move forward. Plus it's always better to mess up at clinics where they can help and correct you then out on a course. Good job, to you and zo!!! ❤

I can't even begin to express how much respect I have for you! You motivate me so much! I not only respect how real you are but how good of a rider you are. I know you see your mistakes but all I see is someone who can ride a horse no matter what the horse throws at you and that's better in my mind then always looking perfect.

i'm sitting here on the other side of the world, enjoying your videos so much! Thank you for sharing your adventures! I just love getting to watch 'real' rides, so many of us could find a 5 second clip of perfection and 40 minutes of sweat and tears to get those 5 seconds in every lesson! I love a challange and my mare surely challanges me every day, I wouldn't learn as much otherwise! I commend you on your insight, skill and honesty, and your handling of a hot headed Zo! She's a beaut, but very much a challanging mare. I wish you every success this year, you deserve it! 😊👌

def know the feeling of having a hot mare like this, but i am amazed at how you keep your cool and keep on going! It's so helpful to see that not every horse is perfect and even people who have been riding for a long time can have some faults. push button horses will never teach you as much as a spicy green bean!

Well ridden! Your mare reminds me so much of my mare. It’s like that old saying: “Tell a gelding, ask a stallion, discuss it with a mare.” I think you are doing such a good job both in trying and succeeding in being the best rider for your mare and also in giving an accurate reflection of what it means to be a committed equestrian athlete. Especially in our sport, you don’t become successful by just coasting through and by just having the most wins but by being the one that gets up the most, learns how to deal with the set backs that inevitably come and by riding through the difficult days. Keep doing what you’re doing! 🦄✨🙌

That's a fizzy Zo, or maybe she should have an alter ego named Zoom? She looked really good once you started jumping x-country. I was thinking about commenting what you wrote at the end of the video, that if you are perfect you'll probably learn less... wise Jill 😄
@chantedove9345
@chantedove9345 6 жыл бұрын
The showjumping exercises were extremely technical so I honestly don't think you should be so hard on yourself about the green moments and your rider errors. The best part of this is that you can see the improvement in both your riding and jumping as the two of you start to understand and Zo has a go at the exercises. Its wonderful to see how you don't appear to get upset with her at any stage and stay persevering! The only thing that I would like to see would be a voiceover type of thing to hear what you learnt from the clinic/ how you addressed the issues you were having at the time. I also defs agree with a lot of the other comments, I find it more beneficial for the instructor at a clinic to see your horse at its worse rather than its best as that is most often when you get the best help and advice. Keep on shining Girl!

I find that it's times like that you learn more about your horse and how to progress further. I think you did well knowing that zoe is a hot head girl and you will find that this will help you to build a stronger bond together. Like you said that you are there to learn and what is the point if everything is going right all the time you are not going to learn what she is like and what you need to work on. I love how you show the good the bad and the ugly side of having horse's plus having it on video you can see how far you have come. I always love you and your channel and the horses. Take care and God bless you lot's of love from me kelli xxxxxx

When I go to clinics or have lessons I actually want to have a challenging ride! That way my coach is with me and can help me through it. Those SJ lines were technical af and obviously lots of new questions for you and Zoë. That’s what it’s all about, you perfect and then move onto something more challenging and first off there will always be the not so perfect moments but it all comes with time. You’re doing everything perfectly right! Looking good 👍🏻
