Will Fire Mage be META in Season 4?

Yoooo Vesp good sht I love this vod. I have a little trick for you for the adds on the first boss: if you hit him with a Phoenix flame right as he finishes the cast that shields him and summons the adds the adds will spawn with ignite on them as if you had spread it to them. Just wait for the very last moment b4 the shield cast finishes

On azureblade you were trolling by swapping to the add. You just ST and the tank moves boss to add for ignite cleave.

I am an alt guy, once you know the content and the dungeons, etc. You need like an hour to get used to the basic dps rotation on any spec... except Arcane :D. So for example, my main is 3.3k (stopped pushing after 25s, because I'm only plugging). i have an evoker 2.9k, and other 2.6k. My point is, if you are used to doing 25s with ur main... with an alt you can easily do 21/22s, without even mastering the small details of each spec (timing on CDs...defensive rotation, mobility tricks etc.) So if you are confident with the content, you can easily pick up any class atm.

Does the fire mage feel smoother or more fun to play than your mm hunter? I haven't played since S1 and am wafting between mm hunter or fire mage for s4

Fire mage feels super smooth when you play it right. When you don't play it right it feels terrible. I know this because I'm an expert at not playing it right.

you are sending skb into combust properly. what you dont want to do is send SKB and THEN press combust, which would just override the timer. the way you are doing it, you will get the combust timer + skb timer on top of it

Mage is not brought for damage but is brough for priority damage, the thing is that any other class has better damage and can do better priority damage to that specific target. Also with Fire you are a siginificant liability to the team in terms of cc, you can't interrupt as much as you can with frost or arcane because you have to keep the same target, and moving for a global has a negative impact on your dps rotation, also it forces the party to do big pulls and play around you, avoiding your target ect ect. It's really cheesy spec, also doesn't work at all without evoker and priest for pi, overall, it's broken because ignite has no boundaries and on higher keys it kind of bugs the game, thus the demand for fire, but i'd take a decent arcane mage every day of the week in my party, might not bring the same heat as their cleave damage is limited to 5 targets, however least i know that if he's competent enough there will be least 150 crowd control globals along decent 40 interrupts by the end of that key, which would have given the whole party room to breath, make my healer happy and still pop with damage on pulls. In fact arcane does much better on lower keys 10-15 than fire, and best thing is that you don't need to worry about finding priest and evoker. I'd like to see blizzard fix the bugs rather than restricting them to a specific composition to cater to the the 0.001% of the playerbase, while the spec is literally unplayable for the rest of the wow community. Before someone says skills issue, i am top 210 right now and ended with 3200 last season, with both arcane and fire, and i have to say, the keys that i did with arcane, were much easier than coordinating the entire team just so i can do more than the tank and race with the healer the whole dungeon.

I'm pretty sure with alexstrasza fury fire doesn't use phoenix in combustion unless is capping on charges, pretty weird, I don't know why do that too.

PF technically does slightly more dmg than scorch and the two are interchangeable. Do with that information what you will. If you’re running execute talent that changes things a bit too.

I haven’t played mage for a minute and just got it to 70. Is flame strike not the main play for aoe pulls on procs?

As far as I'm aware, it depends on the keystone level. Lower keys use flamestrike build with flamepatch (the aoe puddle left on the ground), due to things dying faster than in higher keys. In higher keys, ignite build gets going due to things not dying as quick.

you cast combustion during the skb cast because skb extends combust and combust can be cast during another cast.

SKB can extend your combustion. Combustion on the other hand, will override / eat your SKB time.

I've been playing Affliction lock this season at a high level (2385 M+ score) and I've had zero issues getting into groups.
