An up close look at whether or not a paper napkin can handle a pull on the gelli plate for unique prints without tearing in the process.
Be sure to see the entire paper napkin series to see lots of ways to use these fragile layers in cool ways in your art journals, cards, 3D projects, and mixed media.
Gel Printing is such a fun technique to do, is quite relaxing and perfect to do when you just need a crafty, fun, creative break.
Ask any questions and tell me in the comments how YOU did!!

I commented on one of your previous videos about ten minutes ago and you asked a question... "What do we look for in a channel...?" Well watching this video is exactly what "I" look for... You showed us "your one trueself" and in that moment in your eyes you showed us your love, your fears, your commitment, your passion, your sorrow your strength and your gift and with each video you share that with all of us so thank you... Stay safe my lovely... 💫😷⏳🤎⏳😷💫

I don't know if you read comments on old posts, but i ran across your page yesterday while looking to see if anyone had done gel prints on white napkins. I was so impressed, i went and did it myself. What a keen experience! I, actually, took the lazy way out and just slapped on the whole napkin with all the plys. It turned out to be a great idea. When I pulled it, the second layer peeled right off and, best of all, NO PAINT had seeped through!!!! I couldn't believe it, so I had to share that with you. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

I’ve watched LOTS of your videos. I’m pretty particular about who I watch so take the praise! I managed to score some napkins from my mum the other day. I asked her if I could have one of each. I totally get your passion for art you create and share with friends. It is special. You took the time to create something that is uniquely you and gave it to someone else because you want them to feel special. That is so important, especially in today’s world. You aren’t just using up stuff you made and don’t have a purpose for, you are sharing yourself. Thank you for your ideas. I created 15 cards from your napkin/iron video and have had so much love come back from people I sent them to.

I know my passion will disappear if I do so...I stick to my passion without the burden of deadlines, demand, etc etc. I’m happy doing my art for ME and those who receive.

What a stimulating discovery, I've got to try this. I do the same sort of thing with cheesecloth, so fragile, so easy to make "lumps"...but then when I paste the cheesecloth onto the surface and seal it and then paint it? Ah, I think I understand....yes, when it's more of a thing like a painting, something I've created more me than someone else's design, then yes. Otherwise I stamp the back of the card as an original creation with my first name or initials signed. But if true art, all me, drawn or painted, then I sign on the front like a painting. Hope that helps! 😁😁😁🎨

Okay, so I’ve been binge watching your videos and I’m a bit confused about the drying time when doing layers. In this video you mention that you need to move rather quickly. Yet, in the video I watched right before this one you said you had to let each layer dry thoroughly. It’s the one where you used a piece of paper from your mom’s papers….you did two prints in that one, sorry, I can’t remember the name of the video. Anyway, enjoying your style and knowledge and if you could clarify the difference in your stated drying time I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all you do and thanks in advance!

Awe, that's really sweet. It's so wonderful that we all have this incredible platform. The world does not feel so massive anymore to me. I think it's so cool that I have so many friends in New Zealand and Australia, India, and the far reaches of the globe...yet I've never been there. Thanks for watching Linda, commenting and putting yourself out there too!😁😁🎨

Tutorials are enough on their own with the voiceover. The music alienates a lot of people. There are many who will be triggered by sensory overload from the visual, voice and music. It's such a shame because it's an interesting video.

The music would be okay if it was toned down a bit! My hearing problem picked up the music more than the talking, but the process was worth watching!

I'm so thrilled you enjoyed the process @Desert Stamper ... sorry the volume was difficult for you. I'm so careful about that part - and I'm learning the art of adding that. Which isn't as easy as it sounds...lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the pull none-the-less. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨
