After all that processing 1000 scrapings, hundreds of shavings, dozens of batonings, and the heavy winds to blow it all into flames, it did not ignite. I broke out a hand full of Pine needles, ferro rod ignited them, and when it looked like they weren’t going to get it going either, I started readying my Fatwood. Just then I noticed a small flame starting to take hold on the corner of the Water Oak Log Cabin. Don’t waste your time with wet wood fires. Do whatever it takes to find some dead standing or highly resinous woods. Please follow the LINKs below and SUBSCRIBE. Thank You! Hi David! No one can say you didn't make a considerable effort, especially with the processing.

this is the kind of fire that benefits greatly from a lay like a dakota fire hole, especially on a very windy day. tough to do that for youtube though. thanks for doing something that shows tougher conditions, this kind of challenge is more interesting imo
