But before Grogu turns to the darkside, could Grogu wield the Darksaber? 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2qphWeojp1jr5I

I honestly think he will freely use dark side powers without knowing but still be a good and decent person. Unless he gets more jedi training he'll just use whatever powers he can whenever he can

Great point! I don’t necessarily think he’ll get more Jedi training, but he might practise more with Din on his abilities, so definitely could be a mix of both

I think it might not happen because "Baby Yoda" sells a lot of merchandise, but a lot of what they have shown us does make me think it's a prologue to Grogu's true story!!
@rebekah.2187 Жыл бұрын
I agree. I remember people making a big deal out of the kid choking Cara. I think he didn't understand what was happening and was sensing her determination to beat Din and his struggle to win. He could see they were "attached" to each other, and if he threw Cara across the room, he likely thought Din would be harmed too. So, Force choke was the only option he could think of to "save" Din. Because, what would happen to him if Din were killed? Who would take care of him and protect him? His action was completely understandable. Since then, and especially since the stormtrooper scene, I've always said that the person who severely injures, or even kills Din. . .that will be the end of that person/being because Grogu will lose it. I wonder if this is why they had that moment with Grogu and Bo Katan alone in the ruins and she senses as well as protect him from the Alamites. Din and Bo Katan may end up fighting each other for the Darksaber after all, or something else may happen between them. Bo Katan having protected him and being motherly towards him may prevent him from harming her if she has to fight Din. He also has a place where he belongs now. He's not just tolerated by the other Mandalorians anymore because he's Din's son, but has been fully accepted by them as one of their own. That goes both ways though, they could be there for him and protect him if something happens to Din, or he could lose them all, just like he had before. It will be interesting to see if they are ever in a situation where Grogu uses his abilities to save Bo Katan and/or any of the other Mandalorians. When it comes down to using the Lightside or the Darkside, it's not about Jedi or Sith, it's about survival. When there are over 10,000 of your kind and most of the galaxy is experiencing peace, it's easier to take the moral high ground and not let your emotions get in the way. You have a certain level of security to be able to afford thinking like that. When your world is much smaller, and you rely on very few who can and will protect and care for you, you HAVE to do whatever you can to keep those people alive. Your own survival depends on it. As far as him choosing to return to Din, I think the look of fear and panic on his face after Luke tells him he may never see Din again had a lot to do with that. Yes, his heart wasn't in it, but that could be for several reasons, missing Din, the freedom he had going on adventures with Din, the trauma he suffered, and whatever happened to him in the 28 years between Order 66 and Din finding him. Just prior to being given the choice, Grogu seemed to think Luke was just giving him these things, the beskar shirt and the lightsaber. Then he was told he had to choose, and I think Luke pointing out that he may never see Din again was what tipped him over the edge.

Great analysis! I think there are so many directions they can take Grogu with / without Din and it will be interesting for them to explore a lot of these. I do agree with you, it is about survival for Grogu, and although the Sith vs Jedi dynamic isn't something Grogu has probably given much thought to (in contrast to someone like Rey), it's a super interesting concept and something I hope they explore further. If Din is going to die (which I believe would be a fitting conclusion to The Mandalorian), I could see it leading directly to Grogu turning to the darkside and fully embracing it, setting him us as a main villain in a future Star Wars movie or tv show.

No I disagree ONLY because Disney’s Grogu is a billion dollar business. That would be akin to making Mickey Mouse evil. I can see a bizarre episode of an alternate universe where Grogu goes dark but they’re not going to turn a beloved character into a evil one. Parents are watching this with their kids and they won’t want their kids disappointed seeing this character go bad.
@customstheory Жыл бұрын
It’s a very valid point! But I do think it would be a missed opportunity to not explore this further. Hopefully they can find a middle ground where it won’t effect sales but they could give us this narrative. If that means alternate universe, I would be okay with that
@dalovelee666 Жыл бұрын
@@customstheory I see your point. But bottom line Disney is a business. They had no idea how phenomenal this character would grab people’s hearts. Those executives are not going to burn their billions for a plot twist .. it could work for a upside down world episode but those board members would sooner sacrifice their own kids.🤷🏽♀️

He's trained for many years with the Jedi. According to Lucas, Grogu was with Luke for 2 years before returning to Din Djarin; which means he likely now has enough knowledge of the force and will be challenged enough during his training with Mandalorians to continue to hone what he has learned, and will soon discover special force abilities most Jedi develop. Why would he have to become dark or light? Jedi or Sith? He doesn't. There are many different force cultures which aren't blinded by either side's dogma. We've seen him use both Jedi and dark side powers during the show. Nobody in the Jedi temple taught him to use telekinesis to force fire onto an enemy or use force choke. These are both dark side abilities he naturally learned. He will spend time in the Mandalorian culture, how much remains to be seen; as he will live much longer than Din. There have been other Mandalorian--Jedi besides Tarre Vizla. Such as Barden Jusik who was a commander during the Clone Wars. Also Akk Geden. Finally, Venku Skirata who is the son of a clone commander and Jedi Etain Tur-Mukan (Think nephew of Boba Fett as well), and could actually be written into the Mandalorian at some point. So, being a force sensitive Mandalorian doesn't naturally point you in one direction or the other.

We have seen time and time again, and we have been told time and time again that there needs to be a balance. You can’t be all good and you can’t be all bad , there’s no reason why he can’t have an attachment and have a dark side and protect the people he loves, and also make those who cause suffering also suffer. Perhaps Grogu will be the one that changes things. They can’t keep making the same mistakes over and over again. At some point, there has to be a change because I’m sure that Lucas film has also realized we have to change things up here. We can’t keep allowing the Jedi to make the same mistake over and over again. Perhaps Grogu is the one that’s going to be in that gray area.

Grogu, "Baby Yoda", makes Star Wars a lot of money as a Star Wars character, so I don't think they'll make him a Sith, nor a Jedi, I think he will just be a force-sensitive individual, for now.

This honestly was one of my main concerns, but I think if they make Grogu a Sith yet show that he isn't completely evil (at least through his motives), it might be both an interesting take and also not effect their revenue

Mandolorians actually don’t have a problem with Sith, and oftentimes have sided with them over Jedi in the past! Becoming a Sith wouldn’t mean Grogu becomes evil nor necessarily would do evil things (as a villain), but instead, as we have seen before, Grogu would use the force channeled through his negative emotions (just as Sith do) but for good causes (to protect the ones he cares about). I don’t see Din having a problem with this at all
@capraali533110 ай бұрын
Very good solid points made. I came to this video after having the thought that based on how the force tries to keep balance with Jedi's and Sith's that maybe Grogu would join the sith in the future. After hearing your points about Grogu's attachment to Din, he will eventually age past him and lose Din. I wonder if this will be the time when Grogu fully embraces the dark side? Thoughts?

Nah. Just like Ezra Bridger didn't turn to the Darkside, I'm sure they won't have Grogu turn. Most-likely, they'll do a fake-out thing to make you question if he'll turn, but he'll never _actually_ turn. Honestly I hate that. I wait for the "goodie-twoshoe" to turn "bad" or get corrupted or whatever, and they never do - nowadays.

Your whole explanation is completely BS !!! Jedi where raised to be psychopaths who should suppress any emotions and feelings ! Thus being incapable to regulate ANY emotions and feelings ! Making them extremely unstable when something traumatic happens to them like lets say PTSD because of war time experience or whatever ! No, being raised as a Jedi is the last thing any universe needs !
