It's not the job people are afraid of losing. It's 1- the revenue and 2- the social status they get from selling their work time. If their provided both they will not look back a second to the time when they "had" to do jobs. What would you ask a human to do for you if you had a combination of AI and robots that can do anything faster, better, cheaper? Robots that look human and are more compationate and caring than any human you know. Who would spend many years of their life studying medicine then many more of their best years treating all sorts of complaining sick people when they could just enjoy their family and friends and let the infinitely patient AI+Robots treat the sick? Not only nobody would want the services of a human, no human would be offering such services as what we do now for "jobs". It will be regarded as silly and sadistic to ask to be served by a human.

Actually the problem with the world has always been shortage of both skilled and unskilled manpower. Poverty is actually the GDP or productivity not being enough to cater to the entire population. All this fuss over losing jobs is just that and nothing else
@halnineooo13625 күн бұрын
@@vivekpraseed918 It will be different this time. In a decade or so, there won't be anything that you'd hire and pay a human to do. Nothing at which humans do better than machines. Nothing at all including all the new activities that one may invent. Machines will still largely outperform humans at anything one comes up with.

#2 is the salient point. The stupid status games people play will have to end. Oh wow, you're a highly regarded radiologist and you cheat on your wife with the nursing staff because you're sooooo important, good for you. This model I can run on my Mac Mini M4 is a better MRI diagnostician than you. Here's your UBI, maybe you can stop being crappy to your wife now.
@halnineooo13624 күн бұрын
@@haploid2k Indeed, a glimpse into what is probably going to be a complete wipe out of the current social order. What's the point of status game if no-one is contributing significantly more than another anymore? Back to the state of nature and genetics based social status? Genetics will be engineered and any genetic lottery advantage would be minor. Status through influence and manipulation? Everyone is going to have a super smart personal AI counselor that's way more influential and that can keep the gourou wannabes at bay. Maybe it's finally time to tackle the harder problems we've been eluding so far: greed, evil, hubris.

Humans have historically been successful due to their ability to adapt to their environment. Unfortunately, that ability to adapt is not the same across all humans for a variety of reasons.

their perspective on jobs is not very in touch with what’s going on. Jobs put food on a table, but yet they get purpose. And pride doing a good job at whatever ever you do.i think people will become extremely bitter about being displaced.

I’ve already said that the prevalent job of the future will be AI and robot assistant. You’re all gonna be working for a robot arm or a computer. : )

How long do you think the stock holders are going to be willing to pay Hue salaries to talk management when they can replace them with AI. Would you can take $25 million that a single person is making in a year and said by an AI system the CEOs will be gone very soon.
@XAirForcedotcom25 күн бұрын
Why would you have a human making slowly making decisions when AI could make thousands of decision decisions in the same amount of time. You would instead replace them and turn that money back into anything but paying a single person. That money could be used for automation, research, and paying the people that are still working a fair wage, which would bring up productivity, so the CEOs and top managers are going to be gotten rid of very quickly
@XAirForcedotcom25 күн бұрын
How many CEOs have done something wrong and brought down stock prices over and over again when they could be replaced with a very efficient automated system that isn’t running around on the street. Lol
@XAirForcedotcom25 күн бұрын
All the people that are doing the sexual harassment at the top and then causing their companies to lose money could be replaced with things that won’t harass you. AI doesn’t need an expense account or managed in the same way that the CEO does.
@XAirForcedotcom25 күн бұрын
Think about how much easier AI will be able to make sure that the company is completely in compliance with all laws and any of the territories that it operates in instead of letting a bunch of high priced managers and lawyers, purposely mess up the system to generate profit and then get sued for it and lose reputation.

Before worrying about having no job, we should worry about finding how to fix the huge manpower deficit in so many industries and in healthcare. It will take many years, maybe forever.

In a world where the current Human society still rely on wage slavery to survive because of the current financial system setup, A.I.taking over most, not all, it doesn't have to be all, will end the livelihood of most people who didn't asked to be born into a world of wage slavery, courtesy of their selfish egotistical parents. [Give me one non-selfish reason for bringing another life into this world] To think there are still people who still consciously choose to bring another life into this wage slavery world where they don't even have the opportunity to do even that is unthinkable.
