I know this is a random comment- but contrast Skylar’s response to violet needing a lunch brought to school, vs Ruby Franke telling the teacher her six year old will just have to starve and she hope no one feeds her. We all know Skylar is an amazing parent, but that just popped into my head and struck me as soon as he started talking about violets sandwich being squished and bringing her a new one. Every child deserves a kind, loving, responsive parent like Skylar ❤

For the girls extra huuuge closet room section it off into 3 areas with vanities for each girl and wall paper with lilies violets and goodness the other little girls name is slipping my mind (those flowers ) some pretty light fixtures a princess room For the boys , build a HUUGE hot wheel storage wall with tracks and Lego storage and a huge Lego wall 🧱 Oh back to the foyer. A HUGE fishtank would be cool 😎 the kids would watch the fish 🐟 for hours. A little bench with hooks n cubbies for each kiddo. For my friend's 50th birthday, her husband, bought her a brand new custom farm table (6ft ×4ft) since she just had her kitchen remodeled. It's gorgeous, and cost 💰💰💰 They have a cat that is pretty old, and she woke up the 1st morning to cat puke all over the top. Not wanting her table to end up ruined, she went to Joann's and got a piece of clear vinyl cut to size . She said it cost about 20 bucks. It hangs about 2 inches off the side, but doesn't slide off like a cheap table cloth & is super easy to clean. Might be a good option for yours.

When I went to the urgent care they said tons of people have been coming in for their left foot. How odd??😂

I believe I said if my child forgot their lunch I would make sure they had one. If you can read and understand my comment. So I will spell out more clearly. If my child forgot their lunch, I would take them one if what the school was offering something they didn't like to eat. I did state pretty clearly our district provides free meals to the students. I'm such a horrible mother that I get up every day and COOK breakfast for my son before school. He rarely even ever eats a bowl of cereal or any other cold breakfast food, like a pop tart. I don't have the luxury of leaving my business. It's nice that Sklar can. But it's also teaching the child that it's ok to waste food because they don't like the shape of it. Peace be with your judgemental self.
@catworld81195 ай бұрын
I do get how a kid could just eat the smashed one, but at age five, as you know, they're easily upset over what we think are little things. That one mishap might ruin the entire rest of her school day and learning. I taught first grade, for years so I've seen this happen. A little one completely shut down by what we'd think of as a minor thing! Now if he lived thirty minutes or more from the school instead of fifteen, he might not take one. :-) (You don't come across as a Ruby Franke at all, that commenter was out of line)

SKYLER - One solution for your dining table would be to have a piece of glass cut to the exact size of the table. Then your table will be much, much easier to clean. Just spray with window cleaner, wipe, and you are done. I had glass fitted to my dining table to protect the wood, and it wasn’t as expensive as you might think. I paid $150.00 total, and two men from the company delivered it, carried it up a flight of twisty stairs, and placed it on my table. The glass is not a flimsy piece of glass either. It’s a good thickness. I’ve dropped so many heavy things on it over the years and it hasn’t sustained even a scratched yet. Even a full 19oz can of window cleaner flying out of my hands as I shook it didn’t break the glass. Also, I’ve noticed the kids have a tendency to write on the table during craft time, as all kids would do. You simply can’t contain art or creativity. But no worries, ink, crayon, acrylic paint, and even alcohol markers wipe right off the glass with window cleaner, or with isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel, at most. I know this because I often do craft projects on my table, and well spills and splatters just seem to happen. I create Alcohol Ink Art and I place the substrate directly on the table with no protection underneath, because I know any ink overruns or spills will easily wipe off and not damage the glass. It’s a solution worth considering perhaps. Good luck with whatever you decide. Happy parenting!
