Really appreciate you did the long guide. And don't worry, the big picture here is to know their kinda bizarre history, who is who and their overall context. Rick Wagner already addressed some of your doubts. For "The ONE" song I suggest you to watch the combo of "Tales of the Destinies" and "The ONE" from the Tokyo Dome 2016 show. The two songs started being the same and "The ONE" is considered a spinoff from "TOTD" musically. Yes, the video is not up to date and it obviously misses the last two and a half years. And it happened a lot. Simplifying to the max: they went on hiatus (2021-2022), then returned in October 2022, released a new album, The Other ONE (March 2023) and finally added Momoko as a full-fledged member in April 2023. In 2023 they have made up to 94 live shows. Being their absolute record and destroying 2016 numbers (46 performances). There is another song fully in English on The Other ONE: "Believing"... which has an interesting message (allegedly). I also recommend to check out Omajination's video which is up to date and very funny. 😁 🤘🦊

Dude, Being a Babymetal Fan is Fandom 2.0!!! There is SOOOOO Much Lore and History with this group (so much more than was covered here) that it can Break You!!! LoL!! This is about the best guide out there but as you saw, it stopped just before Babymetal took their 1.5 year Hiatus and as you know, Momoko is now the third Official member of Babymetal as Momometal!! excellent content Atriox-Metal, see I told you it would fly by...lol so yeah, there was a video of the "ONE" Stairway to Living Legend right after the 10 shows at the Budokan, explaining that they were flying off into space for a hiatus, which lasted more than a year, then on Fox day April 1st 2022 they announced that they were coming back to earth with a new story to tell, The Mystery of the Black Box, where we were allowed to follow the making of the new album, a concept album, where they would proceed to travel back and forth in time and ask us to think about their new songs instead of just feel them, meanwhile Su and Moa wanted a trio once again and they had the perfect Avenger for the job, so in their return shows in January they teased a New Metal birth and for confusing us a little they also used their Lore to give birth to a new group called the "Metalverse" so the stage was set for April 1st and 2nd Fox Day, on the 1st they put classic BABYMETAL to rest for good and on the 2nd, the New BABYMETAL was born again with MomoMetal accepting her new calling in life to be that one third of the Fox-god on earth, so they spent most of this year testing their endurance by taking on 94 shows, making up for lost time and cancelled shows from 2020, and now we are waiting for March 2nd and 3rd, Momo's 21st birthday and her Legend show, where we expect for her to sing lead vocals for the last half of the song Headbanger and probably some other wild stuff that SU, MOA, and Koba can talk her into...lol well that's the way I remember it, so if any of my Kitsune brothers wish to correct anything, feel free and add anything of importance that I may have missed or forgotten.

Great reaction, thanks for watching this guide - we may be asking questions later, so keep your notes.🤣(We won't really, we will answer what we can if you have your own questions ... and I see the comments below have done a good job with answering the things you asked as you were watching). This guide ended with the cryptic 'Stairway to Living Legend' message in 2021 ... that turned out to be the release of a video in October 2021 with a very emotional acoustic performance of 'The One' by Su and Moa in a completely empty Budokan arena and the announcement that they would be going on a hiatus for an unspecified period. In April 2022 they started teasing very short snippets of new songs and in October 2022 we finally got an announcement that they would be releasing a new song each month until they would perform live for the first time in nearly 2 years with two concerts (BABYMETAL Returns) at the Makuhari Messe at the end of January 2023 and that a new concept album - 'The Other One' - would be released in March 2023. At the end of the BABYMETAL Returns concerts they teased us with the possibility of a new third member ... and the announcement of two shows on 1st and 2nd April (BABYMETAL Begins). That was where they ended "classic" BABYMETAL and made all that history "Legend" and started the new era with the newly chosen trio - and finally revealed Momoko as the new third member Momometal. Omajination's more up to date (and much shorter) guide has been mentioned already - it is very good too.

Nice! This guide helped me understand, and respect Babymetal a lot when I was a new fan. Also, there isn’t any newer guides yet. Basically, at the end of 10 Babymetal Budokan 2021 shows, Babymetal went on hiatus. Towards the end of 2022, they came back and released their first single for their 4th album, which was later released in 2023. They started live shows in 2023 and resumed touring. Momoko was made official member in Apr 2023, becoming Momometal. Her 21st Bday concert, Legend MM is scheduled for March 2024, which will be the closing show for their 2023 world tour. This year, Babymetal felt whole again. Momo fits in so well, and has wonderful chemistry with Su and Moa. You should do a reaction to all the random collection of fan cams of them 3 messin’ around on stage during tour! Also, Headbanger from Legend 1997 is best version. The heavy song you asked about is BABYMETAL DEATH, also from legend 1997 concert. 🤘🦊

About a decade ago thier was major interview guy ask babymetal if they really like heavy medal music lyrics! Very shocking they said No to the answer! I actually watch the video to this comment happened! Babymetal probably really loves to hear their old very traditional Japanese music lyrics. My great inspiring wisdom for today. yeah i think initially they weren't use to it so it makes sense. But the more they did it the more they became apart of the metal culture now they love it but that just goes to show you never know what you'll like until you try it!

But it is a teaching tool, to give the girls more experience so they can be better entertainers. 12:15 Yui was already doing child acting, however she changed her entertainment career based on that moment.

That was the opening song after the introduction to the tune of Schubert's 'Ave Maria' at the Legend 1997 concert at Makuhari Messe on 21st December 2013. It is a special version of 'Headbanger' - the Night of 15 Re-mix. They also played that version a year before at the Legend D concert on Su-metal's 15th birthday.

👍 👍 Highly recommend HQ LIVE over MV's. And hearing Suzuka kill it rapping on BxMxC LIVE is a must see. Also the Japanese version of Elevator Girl is much better in my opinion than the English version.

⚡ 💀 💕 🍑 Su is no longer the tallest member of BABYMETAL. : ) The newest member Momoko (MOMOMETAL) is a little taller. The BABYMETAL song 'Akatsuki' means red (or crimson) + moon. It's not related to 'Naruto', where it refers to the villains in the anime, and comes from the word for daybreak or dawn. Unlike what's stated in the guide, all three BABYMETAL members were signed to Amuse, Inc. in 2007, including Yui. Yui's Japanese wikipedia page is much more complete than the English version. By the time she joined Sakura Gakuin in 2010, she had already done commercials, did modeling, and appeared in the Prius World show as an Amuse artist. The neck brace (or neck corset) is a tribute to Yoshiki, the drummer/pianist/songwriter from the hugely influential Japanese Metal/Visual Kei group X-Japan. He injured his neck from too much extreme headbanging, and had to wear a brace to try and prevent further damage. There are a lot of references to X-Japan in BABYMETAL lyrics, music and stage performances. Just to note, guitarist Mikio Fujioka performed at the 'LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX' concert. He didn't miss it. That was his last show with BABYMETAL. Also, Yui is not coming back to the group. It's been over six years since she appeared on stage with BABYMETAL. To answer your question, I would prefer that you react to both the English and the mixed Japanese English version of 'THE ONE'. Omajination has a more up to date video about BABYMETAL.
