As an outsider I think it’s beneficial for India to try to befriend China and not get bogged down in world politics. A Chinese Indian cooperation would solve WORLD hunger and other problems. As far as the Israel conflict India can be great mediator between the two sides as China and Russia are involved with Iran and the US is in alliance with Israel. Iran is openly against Western countries. It is also openly against GCC countries (except Qatar) and Azerbaijan. Iran's relations with Pakistan are also strained due to cross border terrorism and gas pipeline issue. Even Armenia is moving closer to USA. In this hostile neighborhood, India could had been a good partner of Iran. But Iran decided to ruin the partnership by attacking India on Kashmir. At this point i don't understand Iranian diplomacy at all. They seem to be at odd with almost all their neighbors

A historic incident of great importance is missing in the documentary, that India voted against Iran in the UN which led to economic sanctions on Iran in the year 2006 during Manmohan Singh govt, because of tremendous US pressure on India, and repeated that again few years later. Whereas Iran always advocated for India's permanent membership in the security council. This led to Iran drifting towards China as a more reliable friend which voted in favour of Iran on both occasions.
