At 6:36, I notice you "checked off" the optimize option, which is usually checked/on by default. Is that your intention, or would it have worked with the optimize checked/on?

Great eye, and such a great comment trexinvert! We always check it off. If you have it checked off, "Fill Surface" uses a powerful n-sided patch that was ported over to SOLIDWORKS from CATIA around 2000-2001. You can see in the video that the preview mesh grid is not parallel to the edges of the patch boundaries. If you have "optimize surface selected, in the background it is a loft, but without the explicit controls. "Optimize surface" serves no useful purpose that I can figure out after thousands of hours of modeling. If I would have wanted to make a loft (or better yet, a boundary patch), I would just have done it. -Ed

@@DiMonteGroupInc Yes, thanks it is amazing how a small setting in this surfacing command can make a big difference. I am noticing more advanced sw surfacing users doing the same. Keep making more video's. The quality, scripting and presentation is the best.
