If the plug tubes pass thru the valve cover then there is a seal between valve cover and plug tube. Over time these can harden and cause a leak where oil accumulates down below in the spark plug tube. Easy fix. But the valve cover needs to come off.

Dad had an 04 Nissan Armada. great car, too much power, insane towing capacity so long as you remember to press the Tow Mode button. The only thing I can recall going bad in his was the window regulators started going out around 7 years in when he traded it in.

Excellent video Jason :) also when get gas station put 89 octane with 5% Ethonal or 91 octane gas with no 0 % Ethonal also put Grey bottle of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner in fuel tank also Gasoline antifreeze to and do every month too ! That cure codes and should clean out 2 times on check out and do with engine running too! If do this you past Emmisson Test and don't shut vechile before do test helps let technician do only want have warm engine!

At least it was only a two mile walk. I had an old 110 Land Rover. It never broke down at the house, always miles away form home or help. Fourteen mile walk was the longest, no mobiles in those days

10:30 the valve cover gasket, has individual spark plug hole seals. And one or more of those are leaking, giving you the dreaded “self oiling spark plugs “. In order to fix that, you will need to put new valve cover gaskets on your heads. When you pull your spark plugs, all that oil accumulated dumps down the hole, and burns in the combustion chamber when you start it. That’s where all the smoke is coming from. And. Not trying to speak this into existence. But, all that oil burning can do a real “what fer” to your already archaic and fragile catalytic converters. Causing your O2 sensors to flag the check engine ligh once again. So, as Carl says….”You’ve got THAT going for you”. Great video, thank you for your work.

😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 The last suv I bought I checked it all over it had 105 k on it just came up from Florida clean clean clean underneath leather all the goodies and a pile of mantanance records the asking price started at $3800 after picking it apart finding mostly mantanance related issues I bought it for a thousand bucks. You got to look at things for clues on how your wallet is about to be emptied. I worked as a mechanic and body man for many years so I know what to look for. I always recommend a pre buy inspection to anyone by a mechanic you know preferably. It can save you many dollars and many headaches ( if you stop hitting your head on the hood especially)😅 the oil on the spark plug or plugs is the valve cover gasket is likely dried up and leaking oil in the spark plug hole and you may want to change the pcv value which may be plugged or nearly plugged. I hate newer cars these days with all this computer garbage. Give me a car built before 1968 any day.😊👍

11:40 you can pump out your tranny fluid by: Buying 3 gallons of transmission fluid and. 1. Drain, and change your transmission filter. 2. Add 4 quarts 3. Disconnect the two trans cooling lines to your radiator , determine which one is the exit from the rad. By putting them both in a clear one gallon washer solvent bottle, and starting the car. Don’t pump out more than you put in IE, don’t run the pump dry. 4. Remove a gallon, add a new gallon, remove a gallon , add a new gallon. 5. The system holds about 3 gallons. You will see it getting clearer as you progress. 6. The circuit starts in the pan, up through the valve body, into the torque converter then out to the radiator to be cooled. So, adding fresh fluid to the pan, simply allows the other old fluid to be pumped out. 7. It’s messy unless you’re careful. Try with 3 quarts at a time. That way, you won’t over flow the gallon jug. 8. Connect everything back up, run the car, and top off if it’s low.

I hit the like button !, I do forget to do that sometimes Jason, so thanks for the reminder. I think that new truck might have need of a new fuel gauge sender if it didn’t register empty. If it’s just doing 5 miles per gallon there’s an underlying issue there with the over rich fuelling. Are you able to run some dynamic running tests on that code reader you have ?, so you can see the fuelling result as you drive it (you can review them after you switched off the engine).

I usually leave some kind of smart a$$ comment but this time......my experience with infinity, worked on a couple G37 3.5l, theres 2 fuel sending units in the tank, 1 for the dash, 1 for the info center. So they could both be bad. No experience with the 5.6. But just my 2 cents. Have a great day.😂

I always smash the like button even if I don't always comment (not looking for any medals). Why not call a scrap/junk yard and get them to take all the other trucks away that do not work? You should get some scrap value I think and keep Jen happy. I don't know anything about these cars but generally codes appear when the battery is flat and or been disconnected for a while. If the radiator has a hair line crack you should be able to braze it without too much trouble and leaving it in the car just put some protection around all the plastic parts. it had over 1/4 tank according to fuel gauge and said 77ish miles to empty . The clusters in these early ones went bad , this one was rebuilt and apparently the fuel gauge is faulty. Also the oil pressure reads max all the time ...i sure hope the trans temp gauge works !!!

The Chevy 4.3 IS a pretty decent engine. They'll go for a long ways if they're maintained well. One of my old friends put 240k on his GMC Safari van, and it was the transmission that eventually gave out, not the engine.
