The carburetor repair kit I used in this video was from Amazon and is here: amzn.to/3Btr1CS. I use kits like this all the time to replace old and broken parts on my gas tools. They are useful to have available if you have gas lawn and garden tools.

Take note of the fact that the fuel lines are listed as “tygon” - lower case. They are NOT genuine Tygon (upper case) lines and as such will not have the same excellent characteristics as the genuine article. Real Tygon lines have white printing on them with the name of the manufacturer - Saint Gobain. Buyer beware.

You get some cool stuff free. I need to start looking around the neighborhood to see what my neighbors throw out.

You should. I see stuff free on the curb all the time.

I like that little kit. I am always having to replace those bulbs and lines and they get expensive buying them from Home Depot one at a time. Great video.

Yeah, it's a good little kit. It also has a variety so I can fix multiple engines with this same kit. It's good to have around.

Have the same hedger bought it new in 2011 worked for one season then it would not start bought a new carburetor still wouldn’t start heavy at 11 pounds put it away and never used it again. Ryobi has stopped selling hedge trimmers I wonder why?

Yeah, I got it working but understand what you mean. It's not the best of the bunch.

I hadn’t heard of that model before and was wondering what that yellow pull switch was for. Checked out the manual and it’s a release to allow the handle to rotate 90 degrees for another cutting angle! What a great idea!

Yeah, it's a nice trimmer. It did not deserve the landfill. Glad I got it.

Did you film the carb tune up? As I cannot find it.

I was just given one of these, brand new and never used. How old are these things ?
@SeidelRanch3 жыл бұрын
I think they are at least 10 years old. Maybe 15. They don't make them anymore that I know of. They work great though. You can probably find the same hedger with a different name on it.
