something i want to try in my garage I learned from a German manufacturer i worked at. they had mobile peg boards on wheels (but they were all steel) for each workstation that had all the common tools laid out. those tools were never put away in a drawer and were always handy. For my garage I would do the same thing for combination wrenches, screw drivers, sockets, and driver bits. I wouldn't need a 6x8 or whatever size the factory had, but a 3x5 or so would be plenty for a tinkerer and the wheels would make it convenient to store and put at arms reach for projects. I could get away with a lumber construction, but you may want a HD metal one or three.

You are going to do the same thing we did with the electrical junk the 6 volt. I have lost a bolt or nut from time to time but then, shit happens. I've watched videos where the guy carefully wraps the nuts and bolts in baggies with notes inside. I've never done that. Maybe I'm special because I can tell a main bearing bolt from a oil pan bolt. Yes I keep things organized but the old junk I work on ain't that complicated. Red and Silver!😊
