Will It Start? 67 YR Old 350 INT DIESEL Tractor Sitting 25YRS!!

It's lookin like the injection pump, either isn't priming the injectors. Or the injectors aren't popping. I bought an old Lima cable crane. It would run all day on either, or any kind of pennitraiting oil. I wound up having to pull the injectors out & taking them to diesel injection service. In (Grand Rapids Michigan) they hooked them up to a hydraulic pump. Some took almost 1200 P.S.I. to pop. Reinstalled them in correct order, & it fired right up. Hopefully there's a place near ya where they do work like that.

Pretty cool find Wiley! Never came across a diesel 350 before , just gasoline ones! Would be a good tractor to restore! Have to agree , when you get that diesel on you it’s hard to get it off .

They only built a little over 3,000 diesel Utilities, out of about 15,000 350Us in total. They made around 3200 Farmall 350 diesels. They weren’t all that popular. And that Continental engine wasn’t known for being very robust, they’re known to break crankshafts, and parts for that engine are rather hard to come by. All that being said, I own one and I like it.

I knew a fellow who had an International tractor that is just about like that one and he stated it was made over in England. It was the same diesel engine and of course the whole fuel system needed attention. The man did not use the tractor enough to warrant fuel system rebuild so he just started it with starting fluid.

Thanks for another great video Wiley. It was really interesting. That little tractor is being stubborn. At least you got it to temporary attempt to run, just would not stay running. Darn!!!!! I know what you mean by diesel fuel, that stuff gets Oñ everything and is so oily. Hard to even wipe off. That lever on the side of that tractor is for the torque amplifier to divide the gears. The leaver on the side is called a TA pull it back when u loss power pull it back it will spilt the gear by half for more power never have it back when going down hill it will free wheel or throw it forward going down hill with speed bc it will blow the center section out of it most ih have them the newer one have hydraulic ya they will hold in low the old ones were mechanical

I believe you're hook up on return side there is steel line comming out of bottom of tank it comes around to filter

I have been around many tractors, old and new, that's a first for me, seeing a fuel gauge made into the fuel cap. That's really a good idea, most all fuel gauges stop working before the engine gets hot and if the tank doesn't have an inspection plate, there impossible to repair, as simple as replacing the cap will correct any issues.

From what I understand engine parts are practically ungettable and I believe it’s a Continental engine if I remember right. Restored and running good will be fairly rare these days

That 350 has a Continental engine not a international I rebuilt one the 350 s diesels that's I know it is a Continental engine 350 row crop gas is international but not the utility diesel
