Used to work on those. They were usually attached to a generator for Aircraft ground power purposes made by Houchin. I can't remember power output but 28Kva comes to mind. They had both governer (to keep power output stable) and the overspeed on the Magneto (houchin had a scintilla type Magneto fitted) I totally agree about the points 2 sets IRC and were a ba**ard to sync. Exhaust manifold would glow bright red at full chat and white if running wrong.
