Will it Start? Low Mileage GMC ASTRO and 32 yr old Ford F700 Dump truck

In this video shot and edited by my dad. My dad travels to Lake City Fl. to help load a dead machine. While he was there he tried to start a old day cab GMC ASTRO and look at a F700 Ford Dump Truck to possibly buy. Will he get it done? Lets Find out. Thanks for watching and remember DontbeWily

I love that GMC. Wish I had a place to store it to work on it. That Ford is amazing. New fuel pump and tires, and maybe brakes and I bet she's a runner.

I never seen a day cab that small, that is a cool looking semi truck 👍👍👍👍👍 Wiley i think that old F750 probably needs a new Fuel pump, but it sure looks in good condition 👍👍👍👍👍 155,000 miles on that old GMC well thats Barely broke in. I love to see it start

I remember the cabs like these GMC ,i think had a smaller one than this or looked smaller Had 238 Detroit s in them Sounded like they were running a 100 mph.when you hear them coming Maybe 45 top speed We called them cracker boxes Both vehicles are low mileage. I was surprised Thanks for watching

Check for water in the tank, the fuel cap will let water in, had one just like it

Wiley that’s a nice F700 , yes get that one running, too bad Jacob wasn’t there to help. I was surprised to see the GMC Astro with a Cummins, all the ones my brother ever owned were with the Detroit engine. Was hoping it had that, would have been interested in that. After riding shotgun OTR nationwide around the age of 11 (early 80's) in a International Double Eagle I used to see these slabs pulling boxes around on the roads sometimes and thought they were broken or something, they looked weird, I worried the cab was going to fall off 😂😂😂. For a yard dog it made sense. I thought they were driving yard drogs around and I felt sorry for the guys driving them! I didn't know what "local" routes were at the time.

Both trucks are really nice! You could probably even drive the Ford without a CDL. Definitely worth trying to get running and sell. If a starter can be found for the Astro, id be interested to see if it starts and runs. Maybe return to it in a future video? Thanks for sharing, Wily!

If he changes that mind, id think on it. That gallop when it turns over signifies a dead hole(s) motor could be toast. Could also just be stuck valves. Its a gamble

Won't starting is a non have energy in the ignition coils check the crank sensor same ignition coils or fuses box troubleshoot

I know we're an old GMC astro cab over semi is with the sleeper in West Virginia it's in Millwood sitting in trees it's been sitting there for at least 2 years that I know of it is blue and white and it's a tandem axle But it is sure is rough but I would love to see you come down and give it a chance to see if it will run

The dump truck has no fire if it's a gasser. Shoulda barked off with the starting fluid if it had spark. I'd venture to say the fuel pump is fine. It seems to have lost spark.

wally check for spark on the gas motor, it should of fired off unless it was a spark or motor issue
