Great vid on the vintage Jeep👍I grew up listening to 70’s 80’s Classic hit songs, like 90’s too but now listen to country music new/old. Though if old classic comes on radio I do crank it up. I would ask how many subscribers listen to football, cricket or country news on radio, is radio still listen to not just for the music.

Our farm (Far North of Scotland) had a wartime jeep (likely a Ford one) right up until the 1970s. It was used for everything from general farm use to deer stalking up on the hills. Then after a a few lukewarm relationships with Landies the family became great fans of the little Hafflingers or "Haffies" as we used to call them These were great little machines but man, they were rust buckets. As for tunes to turn up - Thunderstruck-AC/DC, Rocket Man-Elton John, Somebody to Love-Queen, and an odd one to finish Common People-Pulp

I just found out i wasn't getting notifications with the bell clicked on quite a few channels, yours being one of them. The jeep project looks interesting and would like to see more if you want to share . The last few Belarus we sold had crap hoses on looked like that jeep stuff right from the factory when we got them. We'd got 20 year old machines out with original better looking stuff on. I worked on a 6v system on a Studebaker car for our neighbor was like that with a new battery, the thing had sat over 30 years in a barn. In the end I took the starter apart cleaned everything up put it together and it started like a 12 volt. I don't have particular favorite tunes that get cranked, once in a while something good comes on and up goes the volume. Half the time i don't even know the song name i don't hear that bit when they say listening in a truck or machine. Thanks for another video, take care.

@@LordMuck aren't you the lucky one L.O.L To be honest I think most of those parts guys are ok. I've had some stuff through ebay. They're cheaper than my local suppliers could buy it in. Might order axle parts for our 920 from one,he's half the money including postage to town a mile away. Anywhere in Manitoba that sells stuff I've pretty well got to go get it driving a 2 hour minimum round trip away and pay more for the stuff ! Either that stuffs cheap over there or somebody's nicking wheelbarrows full of parts from somewhere and selling it for beer money L.O.L .

Brothers of the highway or Last of the cowboys by Tony Justice. Damn good trucking songs. You got me jealous, Ide love to have an old Willy’s for a Sunday cruiser and trail rider. I know where there is a Half track sitting in a salvage yard Ide love to have as well. All there except for the troop box and the passenger firewall. Unfortunately that also means the data plate is missing so I don’t know if it’s an M2 or M3 but I’ll own it one day. Another option you have for a battery if they sell them over there is an 8 volt. I know Exide makes on that’s the same frame size as a 6 volt so it uses the factory tray and tie down. Works fine with all the 6 volt components just need to make some adjustments on the regulator and generator to bump the rate of charge a bit.
@LordMuck4 жыл бұрын
Get that fucking half-track bought ! We had an M5 (International Harvester) Get some pics of it and I'll tell you if it's a White M2 or M3 (probably an M3)

I’ll have to get you some pics next time I’m out there. Probably won’t be till fall now. It’s one of them old yards where you don’t go when the vegitation is green or you will start hearing Charlie in the trees and you may not make it out alive. Lol. I did some measuring on it once and the dimensions were leaning towards an M3 but I had no way to confirm it for sure. I know my WW2 tanks pretty well but not so much the support vehicles.

Hi LnM nice to see you in action again a good video, this time with a great project. I remember when I was quite young my father after the war was charged with the task of golf course care taker in Mundesley in Norfolk. As a youngster I spent quit a bit of time with my father helping with a few small tasks. One day my father said to me 'boy do you want to come to work with me today and do some grass cutting. My thought was Ah' it seems like a little hard graft coming my way. But never the less I said yes, Well dad took me to work with him and to cut the grass was their stood under a lean-too a triple trailed set of mowers. To one side of the cutters parked up was a little petrol paraffin grey Ferguson tractor. Then I thought to my self are this is looking a bit better we are going to ride around on the tractor all day. Pops then piped up and said "No No No" can't use that, Whoops I thought dad and I are never goner pull them mowers around with ropes. Pops Said to me' Come with me boy, we walked around to the other side of the barn. He then opened the doors and he got in this vehicle and drove it round and reversed up to the mowers and hooked up. Turned out to be an old Wiley's Jeep wow what fun I had that day. I might add that the Jeep looked almost like new. Cause remember this would have been over 57 years ago. Well Look after your self love your videos hope I have't bored you to much with my (Barn Yarn) Look forward to more.

@@LordMuck Hi, well not really sure but even back then the jeep looked well maintained. It could be still running or could be with some collector some where hopefully, maybe gathering cobwebs. Your guess is good as mine. Like a lot of artifacts in them days unknown to us a lot of stuff got smashed up , scraped or neglected in some way. But in the powers of hindsight we now understand the value of these things. many thanks for your likes and response. Have a good day regards Jon Payne.

Brilliant to hear the old technology fire into life. It reminds me of our lasses Vauxhall Nova with the OHV 993 similar in sound. That was a bastard to start until we changed to electronic ignition, got fed up of dicking about with the points. I agree with mechanically faultless but not a trailer queen. They were built to be used after all. Bad Company - How about that, Brian Howe era songs were the best.
